Chapter 1.3: Split of Allies

(Sonic POV)

We were flying for a really, REALLLYYYY long time. I gave directions to Tails the best spot to land. (Whichh is closet to the forest me and Julia agreed to keep meeting up.)

I noticed while we were flying though, she looked a lot less scared by the altitude and more entranced by it. it was nice! Course she still reminds me of Amy- except toned down by a LOT. Other than that, I relaxed and felt the wind blowing.

(Julia POV)

I watched as we flew over roads with so many cars and lights.. I pretty much forgot that I was scared of heights in the first place. I never really took in any of this stuff before since I only cared about going home and playing videogames when I could, but now, I saw the place I lived in and appreciated it.

Then, Tails landed the plane in a large clearing. other than that clearing was trees. Sonic casually jumped off the wing of the plane and glanced at Tails. "Guess they were too slow to catch up to us!" He remarked, smiling. I dont know how he's that casual, after literally escaping prison and almost being shot.

Tails got out of the plane and I carefully got off the wing of the plane. I nearly said 'SWEET GROUND NEVER LEAVE ME AGAIN-' out loud, but I didn't.

"Yeah, but anyway, that was incredible!" Tails looked at me in particular, once again impressed by my fighting skill. To be honest, I would be impressed with myself too. "She defeated those guards almost within 10 seconds-" Tails would trail off, starting to talk about how amazing that escape was. To be honest, I didn't think that Tails was a chatty one, but hey, maybe it's just character development.

Sonic was explaining to Tails how he knows me, and while he was doing that, I suddenly felt..off. I looked at my hands and..they were human again? I flinched out of the surprise. What in the world is going on?

While I was lost in my thoughts, Sonic had notice I suddenly changed back to normal, walking over.

"Uhhh- is it just me or didja change back to normal?" Sonic looked at me. Tails also noticed that I was suddenly human again.

"Seems like it. Dont ask me how- I dont even know how I turned into that in the FIRST place!" I snapped out of my thoughts.

"I see. Well, either way I do find it strange that you were able to do that..were you able to 'Shapeshift' before at all?" Tails asked, curiously.

Shapeshift. That was it- that's what I did! That was the exact word I was looking for.

"Nope. Maybe when I got the chaos emerald it must have triggered it or something close to that." I replied.

"Maybe. Although, chaos emeralds dont have the power to change someone's physical appearance too much, and i dont believe they can change species altogether." Tails flicked his ears, thinking out loud as he said that.

Sonic just ran back over to Tails and put his hand on Tail's shoulder. "I'm sure we can figure it out when we get back! Speaking of- is there a way back?"

"How am I supposed to know? I mean, neither of you know how you got here in the first place right?"

"True." Sonic replied. Then, I thought of something.

If Sonic and Tails, in theory got sent here by the chaos emeralds somehow, then wouldn't that mean they could also take them BACK to Mobius? It could work for sure, only there was one problem: if Sonic, Tails, and Eggman are here, then that would mean the others were here..

"..I have a plan."

Sonic and Tails looked at me curiously.

"So: Since there's three of us now, we should probably split up to find the rest of your friends. And the chaos emeralds, before Eggman can get his hands on them. Tails, you're a pretty smart kid, so you'll track down the rest of your friends, Sonic will look for the emeralds, and I'll protect any emeralds Sonic finds and keep an eye on Eggman. Sounds good?"

"That sounds like a great plan!" Tails looked at me confidently. "I'll start tracking them down now."

Sonic grinned and gave a thumbs up. "Nice plan. How'd you come up with that so fast?"

"Eh, let's just say I'm good at assigning roles." I smile and casually shrug.

Even though this might be a tough challenge, I believe we can find them all. Together.
