Chapter 1.1: Blind Caution

The next day on Saturday, I woke up early at around 6:00 am. I got myself dressed and put on my grey jacket, then I put some shoes on, of course, and went to my room to grab the green chaos emerald. I whispered: "Chaos.. CONTROL!" and teleported to the same spot me and Sonic met at.

'That's weird.. he's not here?' I thought to myself.

"Hey!" Sonic drops down from behind me. I quickly turned around and jumped back. "You scared me for a minute there.." I sighed.

"Anyways, did you have any luck finding the other chaos emeralds?"

"Nope. I didn't see a single one around here actually.. Also, I got chased by a few angry people. I'm betting they work for Eggman."

"Ah- That's not how law enforcement works Sonic, they protect the people that are innocent, and they probably chased you because they're afraid I think."

"I thought people that were afraid run AWAY, not towards?"

"Nevermind." I sighed again.

"Anyways I need to show you something" I took out my phone which was conveniently in my jacket pocket the whole time, and found the article again, showing it to Sonic. "I found this article that says they found a two-tailed fox and took em to a prison." I explained.

"So they took Tails?!?! That's NOT cool!" Sonic's ears flicked. "Where's this prison anyway?"

"Here, I think they included a map in this article.." I scrolled through the article, then I saw a map. "Here it is." I showed Sonic the map. "Were all the way over here" I pointed to a spot on the map which read 'Ormand Beach.'

"Great! Well, I'm off to save my buddy!"

"WAIT- you're seriously thinking of going there alone to save Tails?!?" I exclaimed.

"I'm not gonna stand around and let them keep him cooped up in there, plus i'll be in and out of there in no time, since I'm the fastest thing alive!" Sonic said with confidence.

"I dont know about that.. I mean- they could capture you too you know!"

"Never gonna happen!" Sonic said confidently again. he sort of patted me on the head. "Dont worry bout it, I'll be fine! See you on the flipside." He dashes off.

"SONIC WAIT!" I yelled, but he was already gone. I sighed. I had a very bad feeling that he was going to get caught too, but I paused that feeling. Maybe he's right, and I'm just being worried like that one show where he had a human friend that didn't want him to leave. Started with a C I believe?

I sighed, teleporting back home using the chaos emerald. I took off my shoes and changed into casual clothes, then headed back to my office room, putting the green chaos emerald back in the closet behind some stuffed animals.

I paced around my room for the rest of the day out of worry. Then, when it was around 9:20 P.M, i checked the news. There were several articles about a blue hedgehog being caught by police and showed an image of Sonic and Tails both tied up in chairs in a large metal room.

I knew it, he should've listened to me instead of being reckless and going in there blind! I wanted to go and free them-

"JULIA! Go to bed, it's late!" My mom yelled from the living room.

"I'm going, I'm going." I turned off my computer and you know what happens.

I couldn't sleep that night though.
