A few weeks later, Laurel was in her office getting ready to go for a meeting she was having with David and a new client in his office when her phone rang. She checked for the caller, it was Ava, she picked up.

"Hey girl, what's up?" She said in sharp tones.

"Hey, I'm fine. How are you?" Ava said but Laurel could sense she wasn't sounding fine.

"What is the problem Ava?" She asked immediately at alert.

"Nothing, I'm fine. I just wanted to check on you since you didn't call me through out yesterday."

"Hey, I told you that I'll be crazy busy yesterday, I got home quite exhausted that I just dozed off."

"Well good for you."

"Ava?" Laurel asked probing for a response.

"I'm fine Lau..." Ava tried saying but then added almost immediately, "I'm not."

"Tell me all about it?"

"I thought you'd be busy?" Ava asked.

"I have a meeting, yes. But I've got about 30 minutes to spare, so talk to me."
