The New Life

Year 2034

Into the ruined buildings, as the man was running through the stairs as the storm got stronger, the wind blew from the sides and the glasses broke due to the wind.

The man has a white hair, and purple eyes. His right bangs at the end has a streak color of red, with his clothes of plain white t-shirt and a tactical vest, along with a black cotton pants, with dark shoes. 

He stepped on the glass, as the loud noise of breaking it, as if he was panicking. Since he was armed with guns, on his hand was a UMP 45 with a holographic scope, and some stock grip under the barrel.

Then on his waist was a holster for his HK USP, with a 3 spare magazine. But his UMP 45 only has 1 spare magazine left.

The man kept running, and running through the stairs until he finally reached the 20th floor. The glasses were broken, as the strong storm was gushing inside making everything wet due to the wind and the droplets of rain.

The man was panting in exhaustion, he was tired but he knew if he stopped. He will die at any moment. 

Then he goes up the stairs another time, but this time the place was an open field with pillars and such with an open window.

He goes behind the pillar, and checks for his bag. He begins to search around his body and sees he has an open wound in his left waist, which he patches it up with some bandaids.

"Grrggg!" He was growling in pain, his adrenaline slowly wearing off. 

He was exhausted, then until a radio call had answered his transmission for S.O.S. 

"Hello, is this the 1st Squad of ALTA?" 

"Yes this is the 1st Squad Leader of Alta reporting in."

"Good, we have acquired a position. We will be sending a rescue team in your place ASAP, to get to the roof top for an EVAC zone, it will be there in 15 minutes."

"I don't have 15 minutes, the enemy would be in here for 2 minutes, and I can only provide 9 minutes or so!"

"Understood, we will tell them to hurry up. This is the Command HQ, signing out."

"This is the 1st Squad Leader of ALTA, code name RED." Red who is being compromised by an unknown force.

Then a large bang could be heard, and he took a peek around the corner, and it was a group of soldiers wearing tactical vests and helmets, breaching the Area by a 3 man tactic.

One goes to the left, and the other goes to the right and lastly the last person goes into the middle. 

Then, the soldiers who gave them a hand sign that it's clear to move, they brought the tactical Shield unit, while the other shoulder began to hug the wall for maximum security.

"I can only survive this by killing them all if that's the case then!" 

Red checked. his magazine inside the chamber and it was still full, and his last spare magazine left, then lastly his handgun as his last resort for surviving the attack. 

Then he grabs his last remaining Hand grenade. "Hope this works." He throws the grenade far as possible towards the enemy.

"Grenade!!" The soldier shouted in fear.

"5!"

The grenade then exploded at their area, and he ran towards the next area his aim was to get to the roof. 

He then looks back, while shooting a single round in his UMP 45 using his holographic sight, as he fires and the bullet goes straight towards the head of the soldier killing him.

"There's that son of a bitch! Kill him!" The soldiers fired the hail of barrages towards him, he reached the next door but the hail of bullets managed to graze his hand, while running away. He closes the door and locks it to give him a little bit of time.

"This building has only 22 floors, and the next time I see the next door it would be the end of me, since that would be my last stop."

He goes for his last defensive situation on the stairs. He ready his UMP 45 aiming down at the door, as the door keeps banging louder, and louder and finally the Door has been broken through, and emerges from a squad of soldiers aiming at the top of the stairs waiting for him.

Red pulled the trigger in his hand, as he suppressed them with a burst fire, causing them to be gunned down, but what came next was the Tactical shield unit, with their shield aimed at the top, and taking the Frontline causing Red to have more problems. 

The tactical shield were using a normal Handgun, that is a Glock 18 and they were going forward in the stairs while blocking the hail of bullets coming towards them.

Red's UMP 45 had drained all of his ammo in the first magazine, he quickly ejected the magazine, as he inserted the last magazine from his gun and this time he is firing his weapon by single shot mode.

He is maintaining all of the defensive positions by himself, but he doesn't have a lot of time as the soldiers begin to retaliate against him.

The soldiers with a M4A1 kept firing through the stairs so he took cover, but the relentless suppressive fire against him was a tough one.

He then took another peek and fired another round of his magazine. He switched to his full auto and fired every bullet he had on his UMP 45, he was able to get 3 soldiers along the way, but there are still more soldiers coming up, as the shield bearer is now pushing him slowly.

He then grabs his handgun in his holster, the HK USP. He retaliated all the way, he kept firing his handgun at them but the shield was tough to penetrate with a handgun like his.

He then goes to the roof finally, as he had bought a lot of time already before getting killed by them.

Red was now outside of the roof, as the storms began to pour even harder than before causing a massive wind along the way.

Red was panting hard, as his exhaustion and fatigue was about to catch up to him. He couldn't fight any longer than this. He needs to end this quickly before it's all too late, he is expecting the rescue team to come and meet him for an extraction point.

"Everyone watch your 6's, we need to cover more ground, spread out the area and find him!." The soldier ordered them to scatter the area.

Red was about to fight back until his last breath, as the engine of a helicopter was beginning to become louder, a Chopper with 2 Mounted machine guns appeared, as they began to mow the soldiers down from the roof.

The soldiers tried to run towards the inside, but it was too late, they were mown down as the chopper destroyed all of them in just a single swoop.

Red sighs in relief, and he just waved at them. "And I thought I would be left to die there."

The chopper then landed on the roof in a strong storm. The chopper opened its door revealing a girl in her 30's who was one of the core members of the Mercenary Panther Team. 

Her name was Panther, the 2nd Squad of the ALTA Team, and the main leader of it. She has dark hair, and red eyes with a ponytail, along with a crop top shirt with some vest that covers her chest that is around a C cup. With matching pants, she was holding a HK USP in her right.

"Looks like Ms. Panther is here." Red was relieved that he knew someone that he had taken care of in the past.

"It was a task to retrieve the Device that you have stolen, do you have it?" 

"What's with the cold attitude, I almost died already." 

"Do you have it?"

"Yes, Yes I have it." He then pulled out the device from his backpack. It was a USB that contained multiple weapons, designs and even money. 

"Good." 

Panther then grabs the collar of Red, and she says. "I'm sorry for this and forgive me." She then shot him in the vest that is just beside his abdomen.

"W-why…" He said, as he fell down from his knees and slowly facing towards the floor while the rains kept pouring down on them.

"The Package has been secured, Codename: Red has been Eliminated command." 

"Good, that's one less loose end." The Command cuts off from the area leaving him dead on the roof.

But Red was still alive, he had just lost some consciousness due to the fatigue and some more wounds that opened on him, luckily the shot for Panther is a direct miss of his vitals.

Years had passed, somewhere in the city of Lewis, you could see a man with red hair and purple eyes. He was lying down on the couch like a lazy person, then switched the T.V, he then heard about the news from the last years of his experience.

"Today, it's the celebration of the new beginning of cyborgs! The new Kind of weapons to fight against the enemy! It has been already 3 years since the last Conflict that occured in the City of DawnVill! Where was the first introduction of the new weapon the cyborgs after a month in the conflict!"

"Now I remember that pain." The man revealed himself to be the person that was in the DawnVill city, he was codenamed Red. 

"Panther…" He remembers the person who shot him, but he was still alive since Panther is known for killing its enemy in a single trigger.

But for him surviving means something is happening that he doesn't know of. The betrayal of the company who hired them and the new found technology of cyborg.

"I think I'm done for now, that past is past." Red had deviated from fighting already he had enough of it.

"Remembering those times like it was nothing, now I'm 26 years old and 3 years since that betrayal." 

"It's time for me to move on, and I don't want those guys to find me again." He was tired of it, killing, stealing and life situations.

"It's time for me to become a normal person." He suits up with a sky blue T-shirt, and a badge of security in his T-shirt pocket signifying that he is a guard working in a bank.

"Well time to go back to work." He grabs his security cap and starts his daily life.
