Intro To The Gelum Siblings

Curled up on the couch Orion was trying to finish reading a book for English class and right beside him resting his head on his feet was a chocolate lab Coco. The energetic pup just looked at him as if asking him to get up and leave the book alone already. And how she thought it was a better idea for him to play with her instead. He just ignored her and turned back to his book and tried focusing on finishing it but he was a bit all over the place today. Suddenly he felt his nerves calm down and his thoughts recollecting themselves. Sunny and Nix must have returned from school. He could sense Sunny´s calm energy in the air, and wasn't he glad that her energy rubes off on the people around her another 5 minuets he would have lost his mind.

The door opened, ¨We're back!¨ it was Nix. The twins started making there way upstairs to put their stuff away. A few moments later you could hear two pairs of footsteps going down the stairs that eventually made their way to the bottom of the staircase.

¨Hey Orion.¨ Sunny said as she plopped down onto the other couch across from him. Nix sat on the ground next to where Coco was resting and started petting her.

¨Hey¨ Orion replied not looking away from his book. Even though his sister was right there radiating her calm energy he still couldn't concentrate. He tried to get his self together before anyone notice well more like someone noticed but it was to late. his thoughts were disrupted with the words ¨Whatcha doin.¨ he didn't look away from the book and only replied ¨you have eyes figure it out.¨

¨Wow, is that how you answer your younger brother. I'm hurt.¨ Nix put his hand on his chest and acted offended.

¨yes, now leave me alone I need to finish this book.¨ Orion said rubbing the bridge of his nose.

¨ Hey i'm only trying to help you out. You're looking at that book like you have fucking dyslexia or something.¨ Nix teased.

¨Nix just leave him alone.¨ sunny warned.

Nix put both hands in the air as if he were being arrested. ¨okay fine. I'm just saying he should just take a break. Straining his brain isn't going to do him any good.¨ and with that he got up and headed towards the kitchen.

He had hated that he was right so he ended up putting down the book and got up.

Sunny looked at him,¨you're not actually taking to consideration of what he just said you know he's an idiot right.¨

¨yes! and I happen to be an idiot who can hear you! You know that right?¨ a yell came from from the kitchen.

¨you know you don't have to yell if you can hear us when we're talking normally!¨ sunny shouted back.

¨okay let's calm down guys.¨ Orion said in a flustered tone as he made his way to the kitchen for a glass of water. He grabbed a cup turned on the sink and waited for the water to reach the top, as he took a seat at the counter he saw the twins playing rock paper scissors to see who would get the last cookie in the jar. It was moments like this that reminded Orion that they were all very different but how it all works out in the end. But honestly if they were told that they were adopted they would all believe it.

Even though the three were related they all looked so different you wouldn't have thought they were related unless someone told you. Sunny looked exactly like their father with her dark brown eyes and light brown hair. she has their moms very calm in control of everything persona . But unlike their mother and father she had a lot of optimism and was very out going. Sunny also had the fashion sense of no other person in their family. She had her hair pulled into two braids that reached down to her waist. She was wearing a neon green beanie a black overall dress over a white shirt and black ankle boots that she had splatter painted with neon paint before the school year started. Which made sense because of her ability to be able to let people feel her emotions I guess her outfits do the same.

Nix on the other hand looked entirely different he had their moms wavy ginger hair and her hazel brown eyes. Orion wasn't quite sure from who Nix adopted some of his character traits like him being overly obnoxious from time to time but he would just tell himself that he is just being a brother. Nix was also a very realistic type of thinking person which they were told he adopted that from their fathers brother. Nix´s fashion sense was simple just like Orion´s a sweater or hoodie and jeans on a regular daily bases and a white dress shirt and black dress pants and shoes for celebrations and such. and as for his ability he is able to speak telepathically to other people. Which I quote on quote from Nix ¨It is not the same thing as being able to read another persons thoughts, get it right people!¨

And as for Orion he had his father´s and sister´s brown hair and his grandpa´s blue eyes from his mother´s side, he had never met the man because he had died when he was three. But his mother had told him many great stories about him and their crazy road and camping trips. He could always feel the joy that she had every time she talked about him which brings us to his abilities and that is to be able to feel the emotions of other people around him.

Sunny ended up wining rock paper scissors and the last cookie which then she took her great time trying to finish eating it. The twins got all settled in for homework when the sound of the doorbell rung. ¨ding dong.¨
