Chapter 15 : Promise
"Rigel!" exclaims Stella.
"Come with me here." "Your father recently built me a library exclusively for me," Stella remarked with a sweet grin.
Even though he has no idea what a library is, that three-year-old youngster laughs.
Stella laughs as she looks at Rigel. "My son is such a nice, innocent boy," she thought.
She takes Rigel's hand and leads him to the library, which is located in the heart of the garden behind the Ruby Palace.
"It's really quiet, isn't it?" "Mom usually wants to go to a spot where I feel like I'm the only one in the world," Stella laughed.
"Mom, if you're the only one in this world, how about me?" Rigel asks, puzzled.
Stella is stunned. "Oh boy! Of course, you will always be with me in this world. "I love you, so how could I abandon you?" Stella embraced Rigel.
"I stated that but the meaning is different; it means I always choose quiet places where no one can bother me. "You're such a genius, son, to grasp it even though you're only three years old!" Stella laughs.
Should we go now? Stella inquires.
Rigel barely nods his head. ' mm! '.
The following day
Rigel was occupied with his toys.
"Did you hear about the rumor from the main palace?"
"What exactly is it?" The maids that accompanied Rigel were chattering with each other.
"They say the emperor brought in a woman and bestowed the title of queen of the Ophelia Empire on her." Even more shocking, they claim she is expecting the emperor's kid. It's a disgrace to the emperor. More murmurs are exchanged.
"What are you doing roaming around talking about that fake rumor?" Stella inquired.
The maids gasped. "Greetings to the moon of the Ophelia Empire, Empress Stella," they said in unison.
Stella chuckles. "Why is it a source of shame for me?"The monarch just had his gaze fixed on me! his spouse! "Don't ever say anything like that again." Stella yells in anger.
"Punish them for the disrespect they've shown me," Stella remarked as she walked by them.
The knight drags them both out. They were fighting for their lives.
"We apologize, Empress!" Please spare us! empress! Majesty, your Majesty! "Please save us!" They yelled together.
Stella approaches Rigel.
"When my son comes, the emperor requests that we see him in his chamber," Stella remarked.
Rigel stands up and takes his mother's hand in his.
They all go to the main palace together.
As they came, Stella fell silent and stared at the emperor's face.
"Dear, here is the new queen." "I had her assist you with your task, dear empress," the emperor remarked with a wide smile.
Stella is startled and turns to face a gorgeous pregnant woman standing alongside the emperor.
That woman has a gentle grin.
"Hello, Her Majesty." Seraphina Atlas is my name. I'm delighted to meet you and look forward to serving you in the future. Seraphina introduced herself with a smile.
Stella trembled, unable to contain her rage.
Rigel looked at his mother, who became quiet.
"Good day, My name is Rigel Silas de Stella Ophelia. It's a pleasure to meet you. Rigel stated this while bowing nicely.
Seraphina makes a gentle smile. Oh my! "You're such a good prince," she says.
Stella can't contain her rage any longer and abruptly exits the chamber.
Rigel softly follows his mother.
"Mom, I want to hold your hand," Rigel murmured, reaching for his mother's hand.
Stella was startled and slapped Rigel's hand.
Rigel shivers.
' Ah! I apologize, Rigel! Please forgive your mother... Stella apologized while closely hugging Rigel.
"Can you go back without me?" I want to go to the library for a minute. Stella expressed her desire to visit the library.
"OK, mommy," Rigel says, nodding.
Following that day, the empress spent all of her time alone in the library. She sobs every night, and it's been worse since the news broke that the queen had given birth to a prince.
"Mom, why don't you come out and play with me and Mother Sera, too?" Rigel asks outside Stella's chamber door.
"Just leave me alone!" "Just go play with your new mommy!" said Stella from her chamber.
'Mom...' Rigel mumbles, dissatisfied.
in the afternoon one day.
Rigel was finishing his dinner.
"Prince Rigel, her Majesty, simply get out of her chamber and go someplace," informs Gune, a maid.
Rigel rushes up and runs after his mother.
Where are you going, Mom? Rigel inquires.
Stella turns around and smiles.
"I'd like to have a cup of tea with the queen, so just wait for me here, okay?" Stella murmured, softly caressing Rigel's head.
Rigel makes a happy face. ' okay! ' Have a good time, Mom!
Stella gives him a wave. "I will," she answered cheerfully.
Stella reappeared a half-hour later, beaming.
"How was it, Mom?"Rigel inquires while playing with his toys.
Stella abruptly rises from her seat and embraces Rigel.
"HAHAHAHA!" she exclaims.
Rigel shivers. "Are you alright, Mom?" You are trembling...
Bang!
'Your Majesty!'
Rigel and Stella glance at the knight in armor, who opens the door abruptly.
"Her highness the queen was poisoned and is currently in serious condition." After informing the knight, he apologized for his actions and left the chamber.
Rigel is taken aback. ' Mom? "You... did it?" Rigel asks, his voice shaking.
Stella laughs.
"You are the only one who knows about this, my son. Shhh," Stella murmured.
"From now on, the emperor will only look at me!" "Just me!" exclaims Stella, hardly laughing.
"That silly woman is very stupid!" She trusts me despite the fact that I poisoned her!
Stella had gone insane.
Rigel is terrified. ' mom! "How could you?" exclaims Rigel.
Stella is stunned. "That isn't my fault!" It's her! She dares to take the Emperor from me! What did you think you knew about how hard I had worked all this time? Cough! cough!
Stella is taken aback.
Her hand was fully covered with blood. She trembles, "Why...?"

Empress Stella collapsed unexpectedly.
Rigel was stunned by the scene where his mother fell before him.
"Mom! Mother! Maid!" "Call a doctor right away!" exclaims Rigel.
"Her Majesty is quite unwell right now, and I can't seem to help her." Even if she received therapy, her illness would worsen. Inform Emperor Albert of the doctor's findings.
"Is there no other way to save her?" inquires Emperor Albert.
I apologize, your Majesty. "I'm going to go now," said the doctor.
The emperor lets out a sigh. "How come all my wives were getting sick like this?" Emperor Albert mumbles.
Rigel only stares at him.
Emperor Albert smiles and pats Rigel on the back.
"Look after her for me, my son."
Rigel smiles and nods, "I will!" Rigel promises.
Yet it was the last time the Emperor paid them a visit. He never returns, even when Stella awakens from her extended sleep. Her health deteriorated considerably more. She can't leave her chamber and spend her days and nights waiting for the emperor to adore her again.
Until the day comes when she will abandon Rigel forever. She managed to say something to Rigel before she died.
"My son, you must become the future Emperor." Go seek vengeance on me. make them regret leaving me like this! Stella trembles.
'That man!' He has never come to visit me, and he is never present when my time comes! Stella cries. On her last breath, she said, she held Rigel's hand for the last time.
"Forgive me, mother, my son, I... love you, dear," she sobs as her entire body freezes.
'Mom! mother!' Rigel is stunned and shakes his mother's body, tears streaming down his cheeks.

"Mother! mother!" screams Rigel, crying alongside his mother. "Don't leave me!"
After that day, I was abandoned by the emperor since they discovered that my mother was the one who poisoned Empress Seraphina, and my title as a prince was taken away as the penalty I received in her place. Rigel smiled as he told the story.
"Well, it's all in the past now until you come and accept me as your fiance," Rigel replied as he rose from his seat.
"Should we head back together now?" You got to know about my dark past, so did you trust me now, Elly? Rigel inquires.
"Elly?" says Rigel.
Crystelle quiet.
'Elly?' Rigel asked again when his initial call went unanswered.
Crystelle abruptly pulls Rigel into a close embrace.
Rigel is taken aback. ' Elly? What exactly did you do...?
Crystelle gently patted Rigel's back. "That must have been difficult for you up until now," Crystelle laments.
Rigel was stunned in her arms.
"Stop it, Elly, let me go," Rigel begs.
' I won't..! I will not betray you! I shall become devoted to you! I will never abandon you or make you wait. I will trust you with all of my heart; therefore, you must do the same, understand? Crystelle cried.
Rigel twitches. He cried without even realizing it.
'What the...?' Rigel said. He begins to cry.
"You're the first to say it!" Don't even dare to betray and abandon me! "No takeback!" exclaims Rigel as he squeezes Crystelle while weeping.
Crystelle and Rigel cry in each other's arms.
"I promise," they murmured together.
