Qin Yufeng sat beside Bai Liyue's bed, watching her as she slept soundly. He remained there for some time, ensuring she was in a deep slumber before gently lifting her and laying her down on the bed. He then covered her with a warm duvet, being careful not to disturb her peaceful rest.
As he gazed at her sleeping form, he couldn't help but notice the slight frown on her forehead, a sign that she was troubled even in her dreams. He caressed her cheek with the back of his hand, hoping to soothe her subconscious worries.
When he recalled her words in her nightmare, his eyes narrowed with anger. "Love, why did you say that? What do you mean?" he whispered, not expecting an answer from her.
As he closed his eyes, he vividly remembered the night he had lost her. He replayed their fight in his mind and how she had wanted to be left alone on the deck. Knowing that she was upset with him, he left her alone there.
