Introduction (Some Spoilers)

Welcome to my second novel.

This is actually a spin-off slash continuation of my first novel, New Life: A Second Chance at https://www.webnovel.com/book/12887156605829005/

In the first novel, you have the MC (Kylie) murdered and reincarnated several years in the past as a boy - and in a different country. Kylie had died due to some secret she unknowingly unearthed and left behind two children. Thus, in her new life, she - now, he - built himself up in order to be strong enough to protect the children he left behind.

This second novel is about MC's daughter from the first life, Lianne Yang.

It's not essential that you read the first novel to understand this novel, but it would make the experience richer. You will understand why the bonds of the characters are strong and who they are.

That, and I'm shamelessly asking you to take a look at it, too. /heh

A word of caution, though.

If you read this first, or simultaneously, there will be occasional spoilers for the first novel here - with regards to who the characters in the first novel end up with.

I will give brief explanations in this novel, but for ease of reading at the start, here are the main characters. There are a LOT more characters, but these are the most important ones currently. I will not be updating this list unless there is a request to do so.

✿ Background ✿

It is set in modern times but in a fictitious nation. Country Tz is purely made-up and is a country that is a mix of various cultures from all around the world. It was a country that had been founded by some refugees, and its core founders were mixed though were mostly Asian. Other nations are just referred to by their initials such as Country M. Those are based on real-life countries.

✿ Characters ✿

MCs : Lianne Yang and Kai Sheng (Kai - "victory" Sheng - Triumph, victory. His real/full name is Kai Sheng Wenyu - Kai being his 'English' name, even though it's not really English).

Kyle Smith: CEO of Smith Industries in Country Tz. Formerly Kylie, Lianne's mother. Married to Sayuri, has 3 kids (so far)

Kayla Smith: Kyle's twin, married to Joseph Yang (Lianne's brother) who is younger than her. No kids, so far.

Zero (2nd ML): One of the 'Diamond Team'. The first group that was created and trained by Kyle for MIB; and the group that was instrumental in helping him. They were the pioneer group that help Kyle in business (in public image) and doing assassinations/gathering info etc (in secret). Also Lianne's 'brother' (not by blood). Currently the leader of MIB.

Diamond Team: Orphans raised and trained together to be Kyle's backbone/support: Zero, Akira, Yume, Lucka, and Edward.

MIB: A super-secret organisation that Kyle had created in NL:SC, to be the backbone while he sought to become powerful in order to get revenge for his death. Lianne is the ad-hoc leader (or that is how it seems). Er, and no. They do not fight aliens. /heh

Elite Five: Comprises of Kyle, his sister, and his sworn brothers: Muhammad Ali, Samuel Johnson (his PA), Tan Xing Han (his BFF). Labeled as such as the group was too outstanding.
