Mia’s real identity
It was a secret that Jenna had kept from the orphanage: Ethan is Mia’s father, and Jenna is her aunt. Ethan had numerous squabbles with his ex-girlfriend, Lydia because of his addiction. She left him when Mia was three years old and never returned. She never allowed Ethan to visit their daughter, so Ethan sometimes waited in the car outside Mia’s school just to catch a few glimpses of her.
It was by a total accident that Jenna met Lydia at the train station at Birmingham. She asked her where Mia was, and Lydia said she had left her at Sunflower Children’s Home.
“And tell your brother he can go and see his daughter whenever he wants,” Lydia said, with the rudest tone ever before leaving the station with her boyfriend.
