Gates of Phantasma

Merlin and Rikusa ran to where that energy spike was, and saw the avian child, wrapped in a ripped cloak, clutching his head, and barely able to stand up. The area around the opening of the cave was flattened and seemingly burned. "This is insane. I think we should call for back-up before we go at this." Merlin said before getting knocked back by another energy wave. Rikusa picked him up, then ran head on towards the kid, not caring what happens to him. Merlin ran after him, using a shield spell to protect from the waves, but large golems grabbed them and slammed them into the ground as a sort of automatic defense mechanism, before turning back to sand. "Seems his Adeptus extends to Earth. Kinda hard to do that when he's suffering headaches and forced to go on the ground. Get him airborne." Rikusa said as he used alchemy to control the earth, and Merlin levitated him off the rock and kept him in the air, however the kid was still in pain and his energy was flying everywhere. "I can't...stop it!" he yelled as he unconsciously summoned a storm that started to cause multiple tornadoes to form, and lightning to strike at random.

Merlin tried to stop the tornadoes with a counter rotation in the center of it, but it was too strong and also had hail stones inside them. Merlin decided that it was time to go on the offense, and shot a powerful blast of energy, but it was absorbed and redirected back in a different direction, so Merlin summoned massive crab claws to try and grab him. "Sorry but this is gonna pinch a little kid!" he yelled as he tried grabbing the kid out of the sky, yet the claws couldn't grab him as there was a powerful barrier rotating at a high speed, creating sparks the harder the claws clamped down. Eventually the claws snapped and turned to dust, so Merlin summoned a massive centipede to wrap around him, but it got electrocuted into dust as well. Rikusa created massive Artificial Soul Golems to try and go through the barrier, but it broke apart after getting too close. It was like he was constantly absorbing energy, and the release wasn't enough. Then a strange shadow being appeared behind the kid, and it seemed to be taking him over and influencing his power to rampage out of control. "This body is mine now. Seems its breaking apart though, oh well." it said as it wrapped around his head, aiming to take over his mind. So Merlin tilted his head down so he didn't have to watch what he was about to do. Rikusa looked at him with a worried face, knowing what Merlin was being forced to do. He grabbed his scythe, then flew up to decapitate the boy, but hesitated and stopped halfway, then got swatted down into the ground. However the boy's thoughts went into Merlin and Rikusa's mind. "Please...you have to kill me. My parents are already gone from this world and I don't want to live life like this. I promise that I won't hold any grudges, this is my choice. I won't become someone's pawn, the blood is on no one's hands. Just promise me you won't blame yourselves." he thought, causing Merlin to wipe the tears from his face and transfer power to his grimoire. "Okay, but first tell me your name." Merlin asked, and the boy said his name out loud as Jikasa. Rikusa jumped up at high speed, knowing the barrier was an issue, so he created soul element footholds to bounce off of like a spring, chipping away at the barrier bit by bit with his bare claws. Merlin summoned multiple fireballs to blast at the barrier, making sure not to hit Rikusa, and Jikasa started to cast a spell on himself, forcing his soul out of his body so he doesn't feel the pain. Merlin saw the opening, and decapitated Jikasa's head, causing the shadow to run away before Merlin could catch it. Jikasa's soul went into Merlin's grimoire, and took the form of a tiny avian similar to his original form, but had wings on his back. "I...I'm alive. Sort of. And I'm not in pain anymore! Major yes! Thank you guys, and..I'm sorry for making you do this. It was those stupid Dark Traitors, gave me this power but I couldn't control it so it tore me apart." Jikasa explained. Merlin clenched his fist so tight it bled, and looked absolutely pissed off. "I'm going to send them into the void for this." he said, but calmed down after realizing that he wasn't strong enough to take on someone with the power of a Dark Lord. Rikusa held his bleeding hand, and let him know that everything was going to be okay, and his grimoire started to evolve, and change shape a bit. The pentagram got more detail, and the color changed to bright blue. "Whoa, this is nuts. What's going on with it?" Merlin asked. Rikusa explained that the grimoire had mixed with his energy, and began to transform into his own grimoire. And now that Jikasa's soul was fused into it, it's sort of like his AI companion. So now he has to create an incantation for it, and give it a new name. "I think I'll call it..Gates of Phantasma. And the incantation will be..Open Gate." he said, and the grimoire shined in response to the confirmation, and Merlin had fallen asleep on the ground.

Rikusa picked him up and went to take him home, flying around and sneaking him into his room, then silently leaving so no one realized that he snuck inside. Merlin started to age again, the energy going into his stomach, then flowing throughout the rest of his body. This time he aged all the way up to a 16 year old, and he started to grow some muscle, along with his hair getting longer. As he woke up, he saw that his room changed too, he had a TV, a radio, a small plants on his window sill, his room light was a crystal, he had candles near his room, his bathroom had gems all over, the bathwater was just pure rose water with flower petals in it, and his room was a bright blue. "Huh. What sort of domain is this? And I aged again, but my mind is the same. Wonder if everyone else evolved too. But how did I get back home?" Merlin asked. Jikasa explained that Rikusa brought him back, and kissed him while he was unconscious which made Merlin blush. He then went to do yoga with his parents, but they both ended up attacking him, which made Merlin block it. "Nice nice. Hope you're ready for today, you're training with us for today, so get ready for a real challenge" Hydris said as water seemed to form around her and form clothing that mimicked a mermaid with chest armor. Roxin's armor looked like a lion, with a large mane flowing from his helmet, and his armor shined with pure gold. Merlin went into his Devil Core form, and took a fighting stance. "Alright then. Pull that trigger!" Merlin said as he released his energy and prepared to fight his parents.
