Understanding Power
Ukog and Merlin went to the moon again, resting with everyone else and eating fruit. Merlin looked into what his parents talked about, and meditated on the boundary field. He ended up waking up to a scent of lavender and the sound of flowing hot water. He saw that there was a large steaming pond, with everyone inside and relaxing in it like capybaras. Merlin disrobed, and slipped into the pond and let himself relax and get comfortable. He let all the dirt and grime fall off of his body, and the water washing out his hair. Morgan slowly went over to him, her hair covering her breasts. "Hey. You mind if I ask you something real quick?" she asked. Merlin nodded, and listened to Morgan's question.
"I feel like...our lives are kinda sped up. First we were in school, now we're saving the world like in an anime. You think it's just my imagination or is it actually just us living?" she asked. Merlin wasn't sure. He loved going to school, which was a far cry from his previous life, but things went from school, to saving the world so fast. But he just smiled, not worrying about it since it's fun and he finally made friends that he can trust completely. "Honestly, if it was someone pulling the strings of our lives, I would say thanks for making our lives so much fun. But I'm not gonna pretend to be some hero of justice or anything. I'm just gonna be me, doing the right thing because I feel like it." he said, relaxing his head backwards and letting himself partially sink into the water.
Morgan relaxed herself as well, enjoying the silence of the water. She then looked and saw Chyribdys sitting in the water, steam flowing off of his body. "If you want to know, I can tell you about the nature of everything. At least in a way you can understand. But to do that, I'll have to explain what the Dark Lords are." he said, creating a screen of light. It showed him, but as a scrawny looking man with shorter hair and dressed like a scientist. He was reading a manga about a pirate with an elastic body fighting a dragon man. Six others came into the room, all of them looking like the Dark Lords, yet they weren't how they looked now. "This was before this world was born, back when I was a scientist human named Grey. I didn't have vast riches, but I had my friends, and my fantasies. We were tasked with creating a new type of machine, one that's never been created before." he started.
"However, we faced many opposition. There were people that called us insane, and tried to shut us down multiple times. When we were close to finishing our creation, we were attacked, and the machine activated. When it did, it generated so much energy that it essentially created another big bang with all of us at the center." Merlin was shocked, knowing how powerful the big bang was, and what it can do to a normal human body.
Morgan cut into the story. "So wait a minute. What does this have to do with the current situation? Can't you all just...I don't know...kill 'em all right now? Why mold us into warriors so slowly if you can just end this whole thing and then do it properly?" she asked. The Dark Lords had the same nervous expression on their faces. No one had an answer for her question. "So you mean to tell me you've all been playing this whole thing by ear?! What the hell, everything's gone down the drain!! Skip the lecture and get your asses down there!" she yelled as she grabbed them with a telekinetic hold and launched all seven of them like rockets from the moon.
As all seven Dark Lords fell from the moon, and scattered across the planet. Vespa landed near the newly forming city, and looked around. "Hm. I guess we got so wrapped up in having fun. They're right, we should end this, and soon. But first, we need to survey everything." she said to herself. Suddenly two beings rushed at her from behind, causing her to jump upwards and land on one of them to ride them into the dirt. One of them looked like a humanoid cicada, and the other was a humanoid mosquito. They were both Dark Traitors, the Brothers of Infestation. "Beel and Insectum. You both want to challenge me now?" she asked, still standing on Beel's head. Beel summoned a massive mosquito's proboscis to impale Vespa from overhead, but she grabbed it with her bare hand and threw it down to impale Beel through the chest, then kicked him into Insectum, making them both crash through a building.
"Pathetic isn't it? I played the physically weak, magically powerful girl. I think it's time I showed you the true depth of what we can do." she said. Insectum just charged at her, growing two more arms and throwing a flurry of punches. Vespa just parried them with her finger, slowly transforming herself while Beel was attacking with a swarm of mosquitos. Vespa just smirked as she began to swing both of them around so fast she was causing a tornado, gathering the mosquitos in the tempest. She threw them upwards with enough force to cause a massive updraft, her transformation still going. Large butterfly wings appeared on her back, glittering with many sparkling particles, and her skin became a vibrant pink while her hair became a bright red and went down to her back. Her eyes glowed red, as spider web like design appeared around her eyes, and her outfit turned into a short black dress that splits up the back with a seemingly tattered hem, and a mostly exposed chest with multiple edged straps that go across her torso. She also had long flowing sleeves that weren't connected to her dress, and fluffy bracelets around her wrists. She also wore stockings that showed off her long legs, and spikes on her knees. She sported a sadistic smile, watching the Traitors fly downward towards her, fear across their faces as they were going to fight her again.
"Pay attention boys. This is a Paradox, your downfall." she said as she grabbed them both by the face, blasting them away in the next instance and followed them, creating a double of herself to attack them both. Beel and Insectum began to slightly mutate, but they were overwhelmed by Vespa's attacks. Her wings morphed into different weapons that wrapped around her arms and legs, her nails began to glow red as she attacked with open palm strikes and piercing finger jabs. "And now, two bugs die!" she yelled as she impaled them both through their chests, grabbing strange diamonds, and watching their bodies burn away like vampires in the sun.
"I missed this. But I should keep these shards, and keep going with the reconstruction from this side. Hopefully everyone else can connect the borders in time." she said as she pumped energy into the city's newly forming ley lines, creating more buildings at a rapid rate. "Alright everyone, let's shake this rust off."
