Nevian's POV
Lance's persistence was getting on my nerves the same way it was to her and knowing the personality he had, I knew he wasn't going to give up anytime yet.
The only way to stop him, was to let him know, instead of playing mind games on him.
Leaning forward with my hands folded in front of me, I said, "The only way to stop him from bothering you is if you come out clean."
"But I don't want to." She retorted.
"Why?"
"I don't want him to know I'm not the same Khloe he knew from last year. I want to remain the same Khloe that was shattered and have no hope of redemption." She muttered, biting her lower lips as she fiddled with her fingers.
Moving around the table, I leaned right next to her and then proceeded to lift her chin with my finger.
"Why?"
"I want to remain in the shadows like I have always been. I feel more comfortable…"
"You're limiting yourself." I cut in.
