Ambitious Queen
Ruby squealed when she saw Seth walk into the chamber. She stopped midway, noticing the dirt on his shoes as she scrunched her nose and cooked her head to the side, waiting for him to make an explanation of his whereabouts.
"Don't look at me like I'm the dross of the earth..."
"That wasn't what was on my mind..." said Ruby. "But you're quite close though..."
Seth shot her a look while he took off his shoes and handed them to the servants who rushed to his aide with his head bent to collect the shoes for cleaning.
Seth was relieved that she didn't insist on knowing where'd been and just went on to say what was making her so giddy.
"I think we should take the Red Kingdom now!"
Seth's eyes widened as he glared at Ruby. He was stunned and transfixed. He had never thought he would hear such words from his beautiful queen. He was shocked but at the same time, intensely pleased.
