“Don’t worry, Ma'am, your husband is right behind us,” said one of the staffs as they pushed her inside the hospital.

Gina dropped her hands and curled herself with both arms wrapped around her stomach. She doesn’t need Adrian, she just wanted his warmth.

The journey through the elevator felt like forever before she was finally brought inside a VIP ward. They transferred her onto the hospital's bed and soon after, only one staff was left inside the ward.

Her head turned to the side and Adrian was standing against the wall, his dark eyes were fixed on her with great intensity.

Gina could not fathom his expression and broke eye contact with him as the nurse injected something sharp into her arm.

Her vision began to blur then she felt something warm draped over her. The nurse’s voice floated from a distance and she could also hear Adrian's voice as they conversed with one another.
