What are we? III

It was another fine day about a month ago, that Leelam had instructed Archer to get a job. He took a walk round the city, amazed at the weirdly shaped moving objects on the road (cars), and much more strange things in this city.

He stared at the giant iron which had a golden colour. Not knowing what to do with it, he poked it with his index finger. It made aloud sound. He decided to try poking it harder, and the sound came back louder. He found this interesting and strange, but he enjoyed playing with the iron. But his fun was cut short when the iron moved, and a small part of it was pulled open by an angry looking man.

The being was almost like him, excluding the fact that his skin tone was really different, and his eyes perfectly white.

But as his Leelam had earlier informed, the humans were different from them. His eyes found their way down to his feet. He wore sandals which exposed his five toe fingers, and nicely trimmed toenails. Same with his hands. He didn't have any claws.

Archer moved his right hand up, and to the stranger's face. From his black gloves, he could feel his soft skin. His hand found its way to the man's lips, but when he was about to part them, searching for fangs, an object hit him. It was a club.

"Are you okay? Like playing with the gate isn't enough, now my face has become your next choice?" the human said, expressing anger.

"These creatures sure get upset easily" Archer thought.

"Sorry" He said, when he finally found his voice.

"What do you want?"

"I'm want a job for me"

"A job for you?" The man said, lifting a brow in amusement.

"I am just what you need"

"Really?"

"Yes."

The gatekeeper exhaled.

"Well, prove it!"

"Uhm..." Archer fumbled with his hands, thinking of what to say and do.

"But..."

"Just leave okay? You're not what we need" The man said calmly.
