The Beginning of the End. II

Shania walked happily into the bushes. She beamed as she hopped in joy at her newly found freedom. She stopped at a point, tilted her head to the right, and smiled.

"Well, this is nice" She soliloquized.

She began hunting for bamboo sticks to build, and she gathered more than enough for her project as she spent hours building.

"When Archer gets back, I will bring him here" She thought, as she admired the hut she had single-handedly built.

She looked up at the skies, and it was getting pretty dark. She decided to go back home. As she walked home, she felt like she was being followed. She turned around and saw no one, but she saw the bushes behind move. She gulped as she continued walking. Her heart began leaping in her chest. In the next second, she heard the sound of a stick breaking, like someone had stepped on it, so, she took that as a hint and immediately picked up her pace.

She ran as fast as she could, until she was sure she was safe again as she didn't hear any movements behind anymore.

Emily walked back home that evening, smiling. She was listening to her favourite song, "Soso" by Omahlay, a fast risen Nigerian artiste. She had it on repeat.

"Soso right?" a voice came from behind her.

"What?" She asked, as she took off her headset, and turned to see a strange face.

"The song" The boy said, with a smile, as they both continued walking.

"Oh, yeah, by Omahlay" She smiled.

"Right. Soso is one of my favourites of all time" the boy said.

"You must be kidding" Emily said, smiling widely.

"I wish I were" He said.

"It's also mine, I've had it on repeat for like forever!" Emily said.

"I know right, I've watched you for about ten minutes now and all I've heard is Soso take my pain away..." the boy teased, and Emily laughed.

"Stalker..." she finally said.

"Nah... I'm not stalker, I'm Jaden, and it's really nice to meet you" he said, stretching out his right hand.

"Emily, nice to meet you too" She replied, taking the hand.

They exchanged numbers and Jaden walked her to her gate, and backed off later on.
