Chap 37 - Results and Brother-in-law ?!!!
Third P.O.V
All of them sagged in relief at the fact that the show was over. They knew that they performed our best and it was reinforced by the clapping we could hear. Esteban and Theodore cheered and whooped while Eros, Enzo and Savòy slumped against each other in relief. Callie was laughing and twirled by Roy. Fernando pulled Lucien and Apollo into a victory dance making both of them smile. They knew that they were definitely in with a chance. Lucien heard footsteps behind him and was suddenly lifted and twirled in the air. It was Jared. "Brilliant. Absolutely amazing!!!!! I am so proud of you." he exclaimed with tears in his eyes which surprised Lucien but he hugged him feeling very happy. Lucien was not sure was the results were going to be but he knew that he put his best foot forward. They were soon shooed to go and change into their clothes that they came in.
In the CEO's office sat a man with long blond hair, Greek facial features and eyes that were as blue as the sky. This man is Sylvester Celeste, a third generation heir, who is from a long line of entertainers but one of the first to work from behind the scene by starting a company. Apart from this, he was someone who was willing to go far for his people. As he was reviewing the overall performances, his door banged open and he looked up to see the judges of the Model Auditions walk in. "I thought that I left it up to you decide who will be the 3 groups to get training." he said with an inquiring look. Rui thrust the tablet into Sylvester's hand who opened it to see the recordings of the groups. He raised an eyebrow. "Open the recordings with names Group 4, 5 and 7. That is our decision." Ares said.
Sylvester did exactly that. He scrutinized closely at Group 7 which he admitted that they have potential and agreed. Looking at Group 4 he was impressed and nodded in approval. Looking finally at Group 5 as he watched Rui, Savanah and Ares waited with bated breath as they saw a myriad of emotions fly across his face which finally settled on shock. He shakily put the tablet down and covered his face in his hands. The three were worried. Sylvester was showing such an unusual reaction which freaked Savanah and Ares but Rui had an inkling. Sylvester is Amerigo's god brother and was his brother-in-law. "How old is the closing model ?" Sylvester asked breaking Rui out of his thoughts. "He is 18. Our youngest model so far." Ares answered. Sylvester nodded and gave a shaky exhale. "Inform Groups 4 and 7. Rui, please stay behind." Ares and Savanah left to tell the remaining groups the results as Rui stood there. Sylvester looked at him.
"You are in charge of Group 5's training. I don't care but my baby god brother is here. I will not let him go." Sylvester spoke. Rui smiled. "I know. I will do so but I did not just find Lucien. Elijah is also with him. He is the real force behind the rise of Luxway." Rui said. Sylvester grinned. "Well, Luxway is looking for models for their photoshoot of their new collection that they are doing with Uncle, I will recommend you. Now, you go tell Group 5 their results and you should talk to the Fabbri boys." Rui nodded and made his way out.
Sylvester got up and walked to the cabinet on his right. He opened the doors and pulled out a big leatherbound book. He turned the pages to show a particular photograph. It was him with Amerigo, Elijah and a baby Lucien that both of them were holding. ' Welcome home, Lucien and Elijah. I can't wait to see you.' he thought and prepared to protect them.
Meanwhile Group 5 were escorted to a conference room awaiting their results. Apollo was nervously tapping his foot as everyone was stiff with the tension. The door opened and they looked intently to see Rui Lin Zwei walk in. The man surveyed and broke into a huge smile blinding all of them. "Congratulations Group 5, you are the last group to be selected for the training programme. I expect to see you all on Monday by 9 am. Lucien, please stay behind and call your guardians. We need to talk now." Rui said. They were all stunned and Lucien whooped and jumped making the others follow. Rui looked on in fondness. Then, they all left promising to celebrate another day. Lucien dialed Elijah. Elijah picked up and told that he would be there in a few minutes. Rui took Lucien with him as the others left and they made their way to the CEO's personal conference room and sat along with Sylvester whom Rui introduced. Lucien introduced himself and tried to recall everything he remembered about the CEO. In the process of remembering, Elijah walked. He flashed a proud smile at Lucien which made him beam. As Elijah turned to the other two in the room, he stilled in shock.
Lucien was confused as was Rui but Sylvester looked at Elijah fondly. "Hello Eli. You look so much like Uncle Andre." Sylvester stated making Lucien's eyes pop wide open. Elijah ran at full speed and wrapped his arms around Sylvester who did the same. "Sylve, you are real. I thought you were a figment of my imagination." Elijah mumbled but was heard by the others in the room. Lucien was sad that Eli was hiding things from him again but decided to let it go. Rui caught the sadness on Lucien's face and wrapped him in a one-sided hug. "Don't be mad at Elijah. He probably did not tell you as he most likely buried the memory. Besides, Sylvester has been wanting to hug ever since you walked into the room. Cheer up." Rui whispered making Lucien blush in shame and nodded his understanding.
At that moment both men broke the hug and made their way to them. Sylvester was darting looks between them smiling while Elijah looked unsure. "So brother-in-law, care to tell the news ?" Sylvester said cheekily grinning. At those words, Lucien was stumped. Brother-in-law ? Who did he mean ? Lucien looked at Elijah who was feeling clueless like him. Rui growled in mock anger. "Play nice Sylvester." Sylvester grinned. "Oh really, you should tell soon. Come here cutie pie. You certainly look just like Auntie Ciana." Sylvester said opening his arms and Lucien ran into them hugging the man as well. Despite all of this, the words were nagging in his head. Brother-in-law ? How is Rui related to the family ? It could mean either through family or....
A light bulb flickered in his brain and he turned to stare at Rui in shock and awe. Elijah noticed and raised an eyebrow. Lucien moved his hands too fast for Rui and Sylvester to understand. Elijah looked at the wild gestures and his jaw fell open in shock. Clearly confused, Sylvester was about ask what was going on when Lucien turned around to face Rui. "Are you by any chance married to Amerigo ?" he asked. Rui smiled and winked. "Yes, baby brother-in-law. I am the husband to Amerigo Agosti-Fabbri, your oldest brother." Elijah was frozen in shock and Lucien's eyes rolled upwards and fell into a dead faint startling all three of them.
It was a day of surprises and revelations indeed.
