I can only imagine how upset & disappointed they must be seeing you here lying pathetically ". Kain said it all with a smug grin on his face. His eyes looked positively evil with greed and hate present in them.

"Why ? Why would you do this ? " Lucien couldn't help but ask. Lucien's parents Leon and Ilya Fabbri loved Kain as one of their own sons & Eljah did as well. He did not understand despite the anger and hate he felt.

"Why you ask ? Simple, I hate you. You had everything fed to you on a siver platter but refused to follow Aunt and Uncle. you are stupid and gullible . You are unworthy and unsuitable which is why your parents made me heir in case something happens to Elijah ". This stunned Lucien as he heard the reason. He knew that his mom, dad and Elijah thought that he was a good for nothing but he couldn't comprehend the fact that they did not trust him. Lucien was about to speak when "Darling, let's go. We have an engagement banquet to attend to." a smooth voice called out and in entered his ex - Max Silver who was picking his nails and along with him was the doctor.

He looked up and gave Lucien a gaze full of contempt. Lucien was stunned. Tears welled up in his eyes as he cursed his stupidity. He genuinely loved Max with all his heart but Max had taken his heart out & ripped it into two when he caught them doing the deed. In a rush to stop him from escaping, Max had taken the paper weight and smashed his head rendering him unconscious.

" How is he?" Kain asked. "Ready for the next stage, sirs".

Before Lucien could say anything, the doctor jabbed him in the neck with a syringe that he had hidden skillfully and disappeared . Lucien began to feel cold and he heard "Oh my darling, we have finally done it. Luxway is now ours and we have also succeeded in ensuring that all the Fabbri siblings are dead. Let's go and celebrate this happiness ". With that Kain & Max left the room. Lucienknew right there and then that this was all planned right from the start.As he lay dying, he thought " If you can hear my prayer God, please give me a second chance to correct my mistakes and give me the strength to protect my family from Kain's hands. I will not let anyone decide my fate and do what I want. I will climb to the top and ensure that my precious people never suffer again. "
