10 Minute... Arduous Ride

"Oh, I thought you have forgotten about my existence. You were so sure of your way," Kaito then said as he walked a little ahead of her.

"I have memorized the map of this place so I was able to walk just fine. But if you weren't there I could have just asked around," she replied as she followed him.

'But seriously why is this place so crowded? If I didn't need some things I wouldn't have gone out.'

The main reason she haven't gone down to the land is because she hated crowds. Just looking down through the pool and seeing the whole load of people, she couldn't help but to dread it already.

Who would have thought that there would actually come a time where she was forced to come down?

She really wants to get back at them already as people started bumping into her while they buy the ticket.

After buying their tickets and boarding the train, they were welcomed by a cramped one, that is to her irritation.

She felt suffocated and uncomfortable as they stood there. Being someone who only has thirteen people surrounding her, this current situation is killing her a lot.

'I should have just bought online, but I'll have to wait longer with that. Plus, I need to start moving around if I want to find that jerk faster,' she thought and her irritation just keeps rising.

Just as she was about to get squeezed by more people, a hand pulled her arm, "Why did you still go out? You look like you really hated the crowd."

She was placed in between the door and Kaito as he spoke these words.

He was standing beside her but he noticed how her brows furrowed every time people would bump on her and became even more furrowed by the time the whole place became so crowded.

She didn't realize that he was actually taller than her when they were walking, now that they are close, she realized that she was only until his chin.

"I have to. I can't just stay inside my place. Plus, it is just a 10 minute... arduous ride."

She was not planning to add arduous but as the train moved, of course the people would to and now, Kaito is supporting himself with his elbow in order not to squeeze Astra with the door.

Kaito who was looking down at her didn't know whether to laugh or be serious at the way she acts.

She looks like someone who came from the country side and this was her first time being in the city.

Though his thoughts were not far from the truth.

After getting off and buying the necessary make ups for her numbers.

"As a thank you and since I still haven't had my breakfast do you want to join me for lunch?" she then looked at him.

She was amazed, he was a talkative person but he knew when to keep quiet but still kindly accompanies her.

"Hmmm, well that's a nice offer. Are you asking me for a date? On the first day of our meeting?" he asked teasingly.

She stared at him before turning around, she walked ahead no longer giving him attention.

"I'm joking, I'm joking okay. Chill out, will you? Of course, I would willingly accompany you for lunch. I know a good place to eat, you would surely enjoy it," he laughed upon seeing her reaction.

He shook his head and run to her grabbing her hand before dashing away.

'Are all people of the land this outgoing? We just met today, didn't we?' was her thought as she allowed him to pull her along.

"No, my dear, that person you are with is only one of the few," would have been the answer of her companions.

She had seen so many "players" for the day but she rarely saw someone with as high number as nine or ten. More like she didn't see one but there are a few who had three numbers.

"Enjoy your meal," he said with a smile before going on with his work.

'And there are those people who simply used their powers for daily living,' she commented in her mind as she watches him walk away.

"Give it a try, it is very delicious," Kaito excitedly said as he looked at her with eyes full of expectation.

Without much thought she picked up her fork and knife and gave the food a try.

She was used to eating the food prepared by her companions, there's no other people in the mansion anyway so one must learn how to cook.

The meat was tender and juicy and maybe because of the final touch, it has this grilled taste that was not out of place.

"Indeed, it is good. The meat was tender and the vegetables were not too cooked giving it a fresh taste," she looked up at him and smiled.

She actually didn't give much hope to this place's food. She had tasted so many things for so many years that food is just food for her. But the food here tastes different than what she had expected catching her off guard.

The food was something she didn't expect.
