Old Madam Wang was worried with her grandchildren.

It's been more than 20 minutes they went to see what happened and no one came back with news. Every minute that passes increased her gut feeling saying something was wrong. Just as she was about to call a servant to investigate the children whereabouts, a scream from a familiar voice made its way through the banquet.

For Old Madam Wang, who was dying from worry, the scream was filled with despair.

Without a second thought the Old Madam got up and went to the scream owner. Behind her two other women followed.

The guests that stayed behind looked at each other and followed the trio. Just kidding, who would miss such a juicy gossip?

The trio arrived fast and saw a little girl on the gorge of crying standing close to the door as if petrified.

"Xiao Shu what happened?"

"Mom!"

The girl ran to her mother and embraced her hiding her face on her bosom.

"Shu'er why did you scream?"

The girl tilted her head of her mother's bosom to look at the two old ladies. After seeing the crowd behind the two she answer Old Madam Wang's question.

"Grandma Li, Second Miss, she, she- and Younger Master Zhao Yi... they, they"

Old Madam Wang became even more nervous with her answer. Zhao Yi was the Duke's only heir and if he had some kind of accident in her house, she was certain that the Duke would ask for their heads in the Imperial Court.

"Xiao Shu say quickly what happened!"

As if on cue, a loud moan came from the room, answering Old Madam Wang's question.

The love sounds that were ignored were becoming louder and louder as the speakers were getting close to the highest satisfaction.

Old Madam Wang's face paled. She could infer by Ming Shu's disorderly speech and the sounds what was happening. Not only her. All the guest could guess what the Duke's heir was doing with the Second Miss Wang. They didn't imagine that the gossip would be so juicy.

They were already imagining how they would tell those who didn't came, how indecent the Wang Miss was, and what they missed by not coming.

Old Madam Li saw all this, and turned to a near servant.

"You. Enter and wake up the couple. You there bring cloths"

Turning to her daughter she said to her help Old Madam Wang and took Ming Shu's from Li Lifen's bosom.

"Dear guests my friend can't host you any longer and you will be receiving a formal apology from The Wang Household in the next couple of days. If you please accompany me, I will escort you to the exit"

Although unwilling, the gusts still followed after Old Madam Li.

After escorting all of them out she finally turned to her granddaughter, who silently accompanied her.

"Do you know what you've done?"

"I don't know what grandma is talking about"

"Look at me in the eyes and say you don't have anything to do with what happened"

"I only found them and screamed with what I saw. Is grandma doubting me?"

A flick on her head was Ming Shu's answer.

"Child, I've seen to many of these schemes to know what happened. What I don't get is why Wang Fangyi would do something like this to her cousin and why would you help her instead of stopping it"

Ming Shu averted her eyes from her grandma and sighed. She was never able to deceive her maternal grandma in her past life. It appears it holds true to this one as well.

"I don't know either. Fangyi has been weird for some time now... we decided to follow each own their paths. This was my farewell gift for her"

Another flick met Ming Shu's forehead. Holding her forehead, Ming Shu looked exasperated to the culprit.

"Ouch! What was that for?!"

"Quit speaking like an adult. You're a brat. Act like one"

"You're just being unreasonable now grandma!"

"Whatever. And where's Xiao Fangyi?"

Waving her hand to dismiss the complaints of her granddaughter, she asked the core of the problem.

Ming Shu made circles with her feet. She really didn't want to be the one to brake the news to her grandma.

She patted the child's head and turned to leave.

"Grandma make sure to help Wang grandma, okay?"

"I will. How else do you think that old hag can handle this. She's completely dependable of this big sister"

Patting her own chest, she gave a reassuring smile and left.
