In the open hangar of the pilot academy, it is called pilot academy but there isn't only pilots in there but also mechanics and other robotics engineering students.

"Hey Reynald, is it really okay for me to have a look at your machine's data?

I really think that this is a bad idea and that this data is quite classified." Fraye said with worry as she sat in the knightmare frame Tristan proto type's cockpit although it was opened so that she can talk to Reynald who stayed outside as the cockpit is quite cramp for two people.

"It's really fine..." Reynald said with an eye roll as this conversation had been said too many times by now. "Don't worry too much, it's my exclusive knightmare frame after all, so I am responsible for it.

Meaning, I can let you look at it, I think that being a student here and a qualified mechanic and engineer is enough for you to be permitted on this."

"But-but... Hmm..." Fraye responded, still feeling conflicted on doing something that might be illegal, she had not done any illegal mischief in her whole life after all.

Like, trespassing or vandalism.

Although, she did naughty things like teasing her playmates before as a kid but that's already the naughtiest she can get.

She can really be considered a good girl from before and even up until now.

Outside the school.

"The target had been confirmed to have not gone out of the academy up to now." A man in a black suit said to another one in front of him.

The two of them are currently in a cafe in front of the academy.

"Got it. Commencing operation." The other man in a black suit said as he talked like someone else can hear them.

And it's true, because he is currently wearing mini coms and like him, there are others who does have one too, for example, the man who talked first.

They numbered in the two digit.

Their target is a spy from America.

Meanwhile...

A ringing sound was heard in the open hangar as Reynald's phone rang out suddenly.

He first looked at who is calling him but then, he saw that it was that same unregistered number from last time so he immediately got serious.

"Fraye?" He said trying to take some attention from Fraye as she was really deep in analyzing the data of the Tritan proto type.

"Yeah?" She said without looking back at all as she concentrated on doing what she is currently doing.

"I got to answer some phone call so I'll just be a few meters away, just saying." Reynald said before moving away so that Fraye would not hear his conversation, he did not bother waiting for Fraye's reply.

He then accepted the called as quickly as he can.

"Activation code *********." The male voice from last time did not bother having some chitchat and hurriedly gone straight into business.

"Response code *********." Reynald replied calmly and steadily.

"You've been compromised. You better take the machine into this coordinates.

This is quite close, you will find an aircraft carrier in there where you can land and take shelter.

You should go now! You are about to be surrounded!" The male voice said with urgency.

"Copy that!" Reynald replied as he cut the call quickly and run into the knightmare frame.

But then, he saw Fraye who is still inside the cockpit.

He hesitated for a few seconds but still came to a decision with determination.

"Fraye!" He said loudly as got beside the open cockpit.

"Hmm? What are you being so loud suddenly for?" Fraye asked as she looked at Rey with a questioning look.

Rey looked at Fraye with a deep look as he gritted his teeth.

"I think, looking at that much data is enough now. I want to start practicing again Fraye." Rey said with a calm tone as he controlled his sense of urgency.

"Hmph! Fine! You are the one who got me to do this but you are also limiting me, stingy Rey." Fraye said with a pout as she really wanted to continue looking and analyzing the data after all, she had decided to make her own design later when she can.

"Sorry..." Rey just apologized with a depreciating smile on his face as if to mock himself.

She just stood up from the seat when something happened.

Bang!

A gunshot was heard nearby.

"Kyaaah! What happened! Rey!" Fraye shouted as she saw that Rey was suddenly shot in the shoulder, it was just a glancing hit though so the wound is just like a cut or burn on the skin.

"Quick! Let me sit!" Rey shouted as he hurriedly got into the cockpit even though Fraye is still in there.

"The target is hear!" They both heard someone shouting.

Fraye was still confuse but Rey was suddenly more hurried after hearing that.

"What?! What is happening?!" Fraye screamed at Rey as she started panicking.

"Get out of the cockpit! Hurry!" Rey said to her as he started up the engine of the knightmare frame.

But Fraye still did not get out as she was too panicked to move.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

A few more gunshots was heard and it hit the knightmare frame they are on.

"Kyaah!" Fraye screamed again from being startled.

"Damn it! There is an innocent person here! Fuck!" Rey shouted out as he really felt the pressure and urgency going up a notch.

So He go pulled Fraye into sitting on his lap before closing the cockpit of the knightmare frame.

"What? What?!" Fraye mumbled in confusion.

"Sorry for implicating you, Fraye and sorry again for getting you in trouble from what I am about to do." Rey said to Fraye as the machine had fully started up and he started moving it into the more open area where he can start flying.

"What are you apologizing for?! What is happening?! Rey!" Fraye asked in a shout as she felt some trepidations on what is happening.

She already have some guesses on what is really happening but she just does not want to accept it.

"Don't worry, from now on, I will protect you." Rey said, not looking at her, with determination as his eyes seemingly started burning bright with flames and passion.

The gunshots outside is getting more and more, someone even threw a grenade but it was ineffective against a this particular knightmare.

There was not even a dent on it as this knightmare frame's armor is made from the newest alloy that is really sturdy and above average in lightness.

It should have been more light in weight but this knightmare frame is a multi purpose type so it can't be a paper tiger.
