The cheers and screams of the children immediately rang out as Magenta entered the room after she changed her clothes and made up. Magenta now wears traditional clothes from one of the regions in her country, on her head he wears a crown called Gajah Gemuling which is encrusted with rocking flowers, a pair of small bogam flowers placed on the crown, and a woven young coconut leaf called halilipan, on her waist, there is also a pair red and yellow scarf. Magenta walked over to them waving with a sigh, she hadn't done this in a long time, hearing the children's cheerful screams could at least relieve her stress for a moment.
"Surely you guys can't wait to see her perform, right?" said Nancy who was already on stage with Magenta.
"Right!" said the children in unison, their faces all very happy and enthusiastic. Not even a few of them came forward because they wanted to see Magenta's appearance up close.
"Alright, since you guys are already very enthusiastic. Let's just see Magenta who will perform the traditional Baksa Kambang dance!"
Nancy came off the stage to a standing ovation. The spotlight began to shine on her. As usual, she smiled at the audience while raising one hand and saying her signature word.
"Close your eyes," she said to the loud voices of the children.
Magenta began to close her eyes when the sound of gamelan was heard. Her body moves gracefully without her realizing it, following the music that continues to echo beautifully. The silence made her even more immersed in the sound of the gamelan booming until she danced more and more lively.
Magenta opened her eyes when the gamelan beat stopped, applause and cheers filling the room. She smiled seeing it all, she bowed respectfully indicating that her performance was complete. Nancy then went up on stage and carried Magenta down and back into the locker room.
When she came into the room she didn't see Alex there, Nancy also left her because she had something to take care of. Magenta removed the flower crown that was weighing on her head and looked at herself in the mirror. She looked so beautiful with all the makeup on her face but she couldn't hide her tired expression.
Magenta then leaned back and closed her eyes. "I'm so tired of all this, I'm tired of pretending to be blind,"
Duuuk! Magenta opened her eyes when she heard something fall, she saw a man with curly hair standing by the door, he looked just as surprised as Magenta.
"Who's that? Alex, Nancy, is that you?" Magenta said, she raised her stick and walked towards the voice.
Magenta took a closer look at the man, he was older than her with tan skin and of course taller than him. The man's face was flat, he didn't look scared at all, was it because he thought she was blind?
Plak! The man pushed the Magenta stick to the ground. Magenta immediately looked at the man in shock. "What are you doing now!" Magenta shouted, crawling for her stick.
"Don't pretend to be blind, I know you can see," the man said as he kicked the stick that Magenta almost grabbed.
"What do you mean? Can't you see I can't walk without my stick?" said Magenta angrily, groping the floor again for her stick.
The man chuckled at Magenta's answer. "I'm so tired of all this, I'm tired of pretending to be blind. That's what you're saying isn't it?"
For a moment Magenta's body froze. "What do you mean?" Magenta asked, hiding her surprise as she continued to search for her stick.
"You're a blind girl who can do anything, but unfortunately you can only do it when your eyes are closed," said the man again. "Ah sorry, you're not a blind girl, you're just pretending to be blind," the man stepped on the Magenta stick.
"Who are you?" Magenta stood up and glared at the man in front of her. How could he know if she wasn't blind and about the weakness of her strengths?
"You don't need to know but it looks like we'll see each other again soon," the man chuckled. He hurried away when the sound of footsteps could be heard approaching.
"Wait!" said Magenta who wanted to chase the man but stopped when Nancy entered the room and was surprised to see Magenta's wand lying on the floor.
"Magenta, are you okay?" said Nancy as she picked up the stick that was on the floor and handed it to Magenta. She looked at Magenta worriedly and followed the direction of Magenta's gaze, she then checked it when Magenta looked frozen but there was absolutely no one, there were only a few orphanage employees passing by.
"Are you okay?" Nancy asked again.
This time Magenta nodded her head. "I just slipped on my way to the front door," Magenta said, walking back to the chair in front of the mirror. She tried to hide her surprise so that Nancy wouldn't be too suspicious of her.
Nancy who was still worried about following Magenta from behind, she didn't want to be scolded by Rion for not being able to take good care of Magenta.
Tap tap! Magenta, who had just been sitting on the chair, looked away when she heard a knock on the door.
"Mr. Mandy, what are you doing here?" asked a surprised Nancy, she immediately bowed to Mandy, Rion's father.
Magenta was no less surprised than Nancy, she stood up and walked towards Mandy assisted by Naney with a sour face, she still remembers her fight with Mandy. Mandy gave Nancy a small smile in return to greet Nancy, she then chuckled at Magenta.
"I want to talk to Magenta," Mandy said.
"But she's got to go, Alex will pick her up soon," Nancy said. She knew Mandy would definitely do something to Magenta. She knew very well the nature of Rion's father, from his face there was a sly intent.
"Nancy, you're not being polite," said Maxim who suddenly appeared from behind the door, staring at Nancy with wide eyes.
Mandy looked at Nancy with disdain, he knew that Nancy was a close friend of Rion, and of course her attitude towards him wouldn't be much different from Rion's, so he came with Maxim because Nancy wouldn't dare go against her boss.
"Kasih Sayang orphanage is one of the orphanages funded by Stevano's company, my son's company, can't I speak to the employees as well as the players today?" Mandy looked at Nancy with a lopsided smile.
Nancy clenched her fists tightly, she wanted to argue but Maxim kept glaring at her non-stop telling her to leave Mandy and Magenta alone.
A wary look was visible behind Magenta's white eyes, she gripped her stick tightly when she heard Mandy's footsteps approaching her. She didn't move an inch because she didn't want to look scared.
"I heard that you are now famous, even I wanted to meet you very hard even though you are my son's employee. Sorry for my behavior the other day, I shouldn't have underestimated you. Thank you for making my son's company even more famous."
Magenta glared at Mandy who was holding her shoulder. Mandy chuckled then removed his hand from Magenta's shoulder and walked over and leaned against the table.
"No wonder Rion feels at home with you," Mandy looked Magenta up and down while licking his lips. Magenta's tight clothes show her curves very clearly.
"What do you mean?" Magenta said sarcastically, her hands ready to attack Mandy. In her heart, she was disgusted by Mandy's look at her.
"Do you want to attack me again?," Mandy walked over to Magenta. "But I won't let you close your eyes again, can you win against me?" Mandy rubbed Magenta's eyes gently with a hideous look.
"Keep your hands off me," Magenta said scornfully. She raised her stick and pointed it at Mandy but it was easily pushed away by Mandy.
"I've heard from my secretary as well as Bianca, looks like that really is your weakness," Mandy nodded her head and walked away from Magenta. "But I don't care, whether it's true or not as long as you benefit my company. But you must come with me today."
Two men came into the room when Mandy snapped his fingers. Magenta immediately held her stick tightly while looking around, the faces of the two men were so level and somber that it scared her a little.
"You can't drag me out of here, there must be a lot of people watching. You want to ruin your image?" said Magenta in a high-pitched voice.
Mandy laughed at Magenta's words, apparently, she wasn't stupid. "Of course, we won't drag you down, but will you still not come with me when I mention Reza Flarova's name?"
Magenta's expression immediately changed, she walked quickly towards Mandy until Mandy raised her hand telling the two men not to stop Magenta.
"Don't mention my father's name with that filthy mouth of yours," said Magenta angrily. Her eyes were on Mandy, her hands gripping her stick tightly with her breath rising and falling.
Mandy chuckled, it was true the news he got that Magenta really loved her father. "Last question, are you really blind?"
