Sheriff Donald Swanson.

"It's grand to have you back, Reid..." A Skinny man was sitting in the office in front of Jack talking to him, this office was very small but there were many things in it, with a decorated table and chair as well as a very modern-looking lamp this was the prettiest office Jack has ever seen since he came here.

"Yeah, i guess i don't have good alcohol intolerance, sorry for making you worry Sherif" Jack smiled with a knowing smile, he was trying to remember who this man was.

In front of him was the nameplate "Donald Swanson." but Jack couldn't remember just who this man was.

"You needn't trouble yourself about causing me to worry. It's a pleasure to have you here, Jack, but..." Donald smiled and took out a big stack of papers, there were so many that they fell off on the floor with a big bang!!!.

Jack almost had a heart attack seeing this many papers because he knew what they meant.

"That giant-like James Monro has called for you several times, my lad... He is exceedingly angry... Very, very angry..." Donald had a big smile on his face, he sounded like he was scaring Jack.

But to his surprise, Jack simply sighed and said "Well, i guess i will be worked to death next few months won't i..." he said this and took one of the papers up, Jack wasn't really worried about work. He wanted funds for his hunt, so working was one way to make quick money to get started on his plan.

"Aye, aye, that's what we've had to do if we want to earn a raise. Now, get to work, lad. You won't have much time to rest once you start on the actual job..." Donald sighed and puffed his cigar, his eyebags couldn't be hidden from the sun, and he looked tired like Sheriff Ethan and quite worried as well.

"Actual job?, why did something big happen Sheriff?" Jack asked him with some confusion.

Sheriff Donald looked at Jack and nodded his head "You don't need to know it yet" Then he turned around and refused to talk.

Jack understood and left the wooden room.

--

In the wooden corridor to his office, he was thinking about what Donald said, he couldn't understand what he meant by something big, from the history books except for a few unimportant wars Only Jack The Ripper case was the most talked about subject in 1888.

Jack simply shook his head and went towards his office.

This place was enormous but to save space they had to cut out length from the rooms, so even the corridors were shrunk up.

Except for a few decorations, there wasn't much in this corridor.

CREAK!

The door opened and Jack went inside his office.

"Oh god fuck..." The moment he walked in he was immediately disgusted, this place was an actual shithole. books and different papers were everywhere, and the smell of decaying papers was everywhere before Jack could say maybe the castle was too big to be cleaned by one person but now he was completely disgusted by this guy.

"God Why would you do this, this is your workspace AGHH" Jack fell over a stack of papers.

"There isn't even a room to walk..." He got up and took a look at his desk.

But there was no desk...

"Where is my desk, oh i get it---" He took a look at an enormous stack of papers.

WHOOOSH!!

He cleaned the papers to reveal the actual desk inside.

"Oh my god, just clean your desk You are the most famous detective and you are solving your cases here??!!, where did this guy even work here!!!" Jack couldn't believe what he was seeing, he couldn't understand if this also said something about Reid's skill for solving enormous cases here or just his stupidity and laziness...

Jack as said before was a perfectionist and had a little bit of OCD about cleanliness, seeing this place looks like a literal shithole irked him differently... Jack took a look at the gloves nearby, there was also a broom and water.

"I see, looks like he was going to clean this place up" He sighed and took the gloves... he was going to make this place look like a room and not some room people put printers in. This was his first job in this world.

--

2 Hours Later.

"Puff... that took much longer than i expected..." Jack was out of breath, for two hole hours he was cleaning this place up, many papers were straight-up yellow here, and he needed to take them out to the trash for Street Sweepers to take them, He cleaned this place fully, and now it looked like a real office of a detective who solved cases.

"Gaaah... this was so tiring" Jack fell on the very fluffy couch next to his table and chair...

"I can't believe this guy put papers on this amazing couch, just how did he rest here" He stood up and took a look at the whiteboard, to his surprise there was a case put up there, looks like Jack Edmund Reid was investigating someone before he took his body or just, he appeared. There were photos of different people here.

Jack was looking at the big circle that was circled upon notes "George Yard, off Whitechapel High Street" There was a picture of a burning castle enclosed in a fire, this was the castle...

"Holy shit, this is the castle he was living in" Jack immediately understood this and looked at other things written there...

There were suspect photos and a drawn person with a burly body and distinct mustaches, it was a long mustache, almost as long as the face itself... Jack immediately understood. He smiled and said.

"I see now, looks like we had same life goals, Reid, same case and same goal..." Jack understood why did he change Edmund Reid and not other famous Detectives...
