Diedrich was shocked however soon came back to his normal state of mind, he was back in the dark void where he first heard the system-like voice. Just when he was wondering how much longer he had to stay, he heard the system again.

"Now personalizing individuals score and choosing occupation"

Diedrich stood in the void in silence, because of the first system notification the other were a blur to him, he had no particular expression on his face, it was just blank. His brain had shut down, after some time he began processing the information he had just heard, and his heart began to ache, this wasn't just the case for Diedrich but for all survivors who had just heard almost 40% of humanity had being wiped out.

Diedrich began to worry, after trying to not think about his family's situation in the trial he began to finally worry, did they survive?

After some thought he began to calm down a bit, he knew that his family was pretty athletic and were bigger and stronger than most people, and his sister and parents were in the groups that had the highest survival rates.

The only one that had him anxious was his little brother who was in the 40% survival rate group.

While thinking about the probability of his family's survival he heard another system notification.

Ding "Personalizing score of Diedrich"

"Inhabitant Diedrich is rank ✩✩✩✩"

"Inhabitant Diedrich can choose an elemental affinity for being at least rank ✩ or a special elemental affinity for being at least rank ✩✩✩"

Diedrich suddenly saw seven images appear before him with what elements they represented written below.

The images depicted were of water, fire, earth, and wind. A little further away from them, three other images showed up which depicted a black fog that was even darker than the void, a pillar of stationary intense light, and a magnificent tree, under those images stood the words Dark, Light, and Nature.

When Diedrich saw these seven options he became slightly stunned.

"Elemental affinities?" Diedrich had never heard of them, but if he had to guess from what he was seeing and the books he read it was somewhat like magic, unsure he decided to try asking the system.

"Elemental affinities, so is that like magic?" Diedrich asked to the open void.

After a few seconds of waiting, there was no answer, from what he could tell the system was most likely similar to a pre-programmed machine only doing what it was supposed to.

Still feeling slightly stressed about his family's wellbeing Diedrich knew he had to choose wisely as he felt his choice would greatly affect his future and how much he could potentially help them.

So Diedrich began to carefully consider each option.

After thinking for a while he eliminated water, fire, earth, and wind, although it sounded cool to control fire, however if they were anything like magic affinities he knew Light, Dark, and Nature were the special affinities the system offered as they were separated from the other elements and even Diedrich knew what the basic elements were, so he thought the special ones should be more powerful, they were also only available to rank 3 which he thought sounded better then calling them stars.

Now Diedrich had three choices left.

The Dark attribute from what he knew was very powerful except that it was weak against light and was often considered evil.

He also reminisced how Dark magic in books was normally kind of slow and was usually used by loners, and although Diedrich was a bit of a loner he didn't want a life of solitude, so he skipped that choice.

Light was an interesting choice and was often used by heroes in books, from what he remembered light was quick, powerful, and good at healing.

Nature, on the other hand, Diedrich knew nothing about, he supposed he could control plants with them but other than that he didn't know, although humans were technically also part of nature so maybe that would help him find his family, although he had no idea how.

Having thought about it, Diedrich made his choice and grabbed out to the element he wanted.

Ding "Inhabitant Diedrich choose Nature as elemental affinity"

Diedrich felt that Nature was the best fit for him as he was naturally a calm person and light didn't really fit him, it was also a special element so it should still be powerful he reasoned.

"Inhabitant Diedrich can now choose a profession for being at least rank ✩✩"

In front of Diedrich floated three people who looked exactly like him except for their clothes.

One was in long robes, held a wooden staff where green light was continually rotating around, and looked scholarly.

The other was dressed in seemingly metallic wooden armor, had a sword around his waist and looked fierce.

The last one had a dirty leather apron around himself with a wooden hammer in one hand while wearing a confident smile.

Under those three replicas of himself floated three words Elementalist, Warrior, and Artisan.

When Diedrich saw these three options he became slightly stunned as he now officially confirmed he was in a fantasy world with magic. Elementalist that was just a Mage!

Diedrich already knew that he wanted to be an Elementalist.

Becoming an artisan never crossed his mind as they were supporting roles and from what the trial had shown him, you had to be strong, and although he primarily used a spear and sword to fight during the trial, he enjoyed attacking targets from a distance and it had alway's being a dream of his to control magic, so he naturally chose the Elementalist.

Ding "Inhabitant Diedrich choose Elementalist"

"Inhabitant Diedrich can now choose a class for being at least rank ✩✩"

"Classes available [Vine Creation], [Protector of Nature], [Animal Manipulator] "

When Diedrich saw these options he was a bit let down, although Vine Creation would probably allow him to be able to attack from a distance like he wanted, it just seemed lame, and manipulating animals seemed wrong and a bit suspicious.

Protector of Nature was the only one he didn't know anything about and seemed interesting, so after a bit of hesitation he chose it.

Ding"Inhabitant Diedrich choose class [Protector of Nature] "

"As inhabitant Diedrich is at least rank ✩✩✩ he gets a random special class associated with the class [Protector of Nature]"

"Randomization of special class will now occur" "Randomization complete" "Inhabitant Diedrich's special class is [Guardian of Nature]"

After Diedrich got the new special class, Diedrich heard another notification

Ding " As inhabitant Diedrich is at rank ✩✩✩✩ he gets the advanced elemental affinity to the sub-element of [Nature], [Beast]"

Ding " As Inhabitant Diedrich his elemental affinity is [Beast] a class associated with the elemental affinity [Beast] and the advanced class "[Guardian of Nature]" will now be randomized"

"Randomization of class will now occur"

"Randomization complete"

"Inhabitant Diedrich's class is [Beast Guardian]"

Diedrich became excited, although he had no idea what it was it sounded strong.

After the message the system became quiet. Just as Diedrich thought that was the last of the notifications he heard another one.

Ding "Two blank village creation cubes detected'

"One village creation cube [stone], and one village creation cube [stone+] superior quality"

"Would you like to merge the two of them?"

Diedrich was bewildered and slightly happy that those two useless stones he risked his life for were actually worth something. Diedrich didn't know if stone grade was high or not but by the sound of it, it definitely wasn't so he decided to combine them.

Ding "Merge was selected"

Ding "Host Diedrich has now received a Village creation cube (Bronze)"

Ding " You will now be teleported to Tellus(earth) area in the world of expansion"

Just as Diedrich was waiting for more information, a blinding white light hit his eyes, and when he opened them again, he saw darkness.
