Drop the Sails!

The light of dawn has already passed, it was the time of noon as a blonde girl ran toward the harbor where a group of ships are currently docked.

The girl is of above-average height; standing at a whopping six feet, she's taller than most of her peers but not tall enough to overshadow men. She's of blonde hair with a set of amethyst eyes. She wore a brown leather vest on top of a white cambric shirt and sported a pair of gray woolen pants with black leather boots.

She arrived at the harbor and admired the beautiful view as she inhaled the scent of the sea. A small figure arrived beside her as the person tried to catch their breath due to exhaustion. The new arrival is of course a dwarf, standing in a height of four feet and a half; She's of ginger hair and has a pair of honey-brown eyes, she wore a brown leather jerkin and black leather pants as a wooden crossbow is strapped at her back.

"Why did you run?! I had to sprint as fast as I can just so I can keep up with you!" said Donna. "I'm sorry about that Donna, I'm just excited to go to the land of the dark elves." Replied Anryn.

Donna stood straight as she finally caught her breath and started to breathe normally. "I don't know what got you so excited… I mean it is pretty exciting to go to the mystical lands of the dark elves but that doesn't explain why you're so giddy first thing in the morning! I almost forgot to bring my mushrooms!" Complained Donna.

Anryn ignored the ramblings of her friend and walked toward one of the docks on where a medium-sized ship is located. "Hey wait for me!"

The pair went ahead toward the ship as a crew of sailors are lifting a bunch of crates and barrels as they store them inside the said ship. Anryn and Donna walked toward the deck of the ship and saw a tall woman with tanned skin. She wore a blue trench coat and a blue tricorn while sporting a pair of black woolen pants and a set of black leather boots. The breeze of the sea carried the locks of her black hair as she shouted orders to her crew.

The woman noticed the new pair and walked toward them. "Greetings! I presume you two must be the princess and her… friend?" said the woman. "Yes, I am Anryn Amande Aerenwynn and this one beside me is my friend, Donna Stonehand." Replied Anryn as Donna gave a nod.

"Nice to meet you, your royal highness. My name is Miranda Oswell, captain of the Iron Lady. We have been expecting your arrival, your highness."Said Miranda.

"Well, I have arrived? By the way, what did you mean by we?" Said Anryn. "Well, a man arrived here before you and told me that he is your companion, so I let him aboard the ship. He's the man with gray hair that's standing in front of the ship." Said Miranda.

Anryn thanked Miranda and did a small bow before heading over to the front of the ship. There, she saw a man that wore a black trench coat and a pair of scimitars strapped on his waist. The man looked toward the sea as he anticipates his upcoming adventure. "Teacher?" said Anryn.

The man turned around and smiled as he saw the girl. Yes, the man is no one other than Dobart, Anryn's instructor. "You have arrived, Anryn." Said Dobart.

Anryn walked toward him with Donna in tow as she sized him up from head to toe. "What do you think? Quite an outfit isn't it?" said Dobart. "Yeah… It didn't strike me that you'll wear such an outfit." Replied Anryn.

Dobart laughed at her remark. "Well, you must be wondering why I'm here right?" said Dobart. Anryn gave a nod to which Dobart also nodded. "Your father wanted me to accompany you on your journey."

"What? Well, I guess the more the merrier? I'm also sure father wouldn't let me venture outside the kingdom without a senior around…" Said Anryn as Dobart nodded to her words.

Footsteps resounded behind Anryn as Miranda walked toward the trio and informed them that the ship would be departing soon. The trio nodded at her warning and prepared themselves for the upcoming adventure.

Miranda commanded her crew as they cut the rope that held the ship on the docks and brought up the ship's anchor. The ship departed from the harbor and started its journey as it headed toward the land of the dark elves.
