CHAPTER 22 – Boxing Day 1
Boxing Day – why was it even called that? Was it because it liked to sucker punch me in the stomach, one last time, before Christmas was over, and before I could finally start forgetting about my crappy festive season, and start looking forward to the new year?
The festivities had wound down to a slower pace, and in all honesty, chilling out and relaxing inside the cottage wasn’t as bad today. It seemed the whole ‘pressure’ of Christmas Day had faded, and watching some cowboy film on the TV, with bowls of popcorn and leftover turkey sandwiches, was much better than doing anything else.
