Chapter 21

Once on the ground Max helped Cassie out of her seat and helped her as she got off of the airplane. Once they were at the house Max high-caste head-on in while he brought in the luggage and he thought he her Cassie's phone rang and figured it was Sylvia calling to check on her so he figured he would get their bags and then go and bring in wood for the fireplace.

Cassidy was walking in the house as her cell phone rang. Without looking at the caller ID she answered the call:

You stupid bitch you went and got married anyways you never listen to me so why did I think you would this time well guess what I will hurt you even if it means hurting that precious husband of yours. Nick how did you get my new number? I had to change for a reason! Upon hearing Nick's voice Cassidys heart dropped into her stomach what if he did try to hurt her or max if Max got hurt she would never forgive herself Cassidy are you listening to me! Nick if you ever call me or come near Max or myself I will have you arrested or did you forget that I have proof that you were stealing from me and proof of the physical assault that you did to me with that being said caste hung up her cell phone and dropped to her knees and started to cry.

From outside Max. He heard Cassidy hollering so he ran for the front door. Once there he heard her say something about physical assaults on her and about having proof of it and then seen her drop to the floor sobbing. He ran in and dropped to the floor and just help her. After what seemed like hours Cassie picked up her head and seen the look of worry on Max's face. She could tell he wanted to ask what was going on but couldn't bring himself to ask. That call was from Nick Cassidy said. Somehow he got my new number he threatened to hurt you or me because we got married. Cassidy don't worry nothing is going to happen to either one of us but my question is why didn't you report the theft or abuse and why didn't you tell me when I asked you if he'd ever put his hands on you. You know I will protect you and keep you safe honestly Max I was too ashamed to say anything, Cassidy replied.

My dad taught me better and would be so disappointed in me. Cassidy your dad would have been proud of you for getting out of there but that is enough talk about Nick. I want to take my new bride to bed and pick her up and carry her there and make mad passionate love to her all night long. Max picked Cassidy up and carried her upstairs. He laid her on the queen size bed and slowly undressed her. They made mad passionate love until the wee hours of the morning and they both fell fast asleep.

They spent the next two weeks lounging around the house and cuddling beside the fireplace. Max and Cassidy couldn't believe that their honeymoon was almost over. They only had one night left and Max had special plans for tonight.
