Chapter 17:WHO IS MY DAD!!!
Edward went towards the direction of Chloe and was about to tell her but he heard her saying that she will never be his friend let alone date him.
"I hate Edward...so stop teasing me about dating or liking him"Chloe said to Phoebe.
"What's up with you...you've been looking worried and stressed out"Roy asked."Bro...I think... I mean...I love Chloe a lot"Edward said.
"WHAT!!!...how dare you say such"An angry Chloe said."Chloe...calm down...he has the right to express his feelings"Phoebe said.
"I don't care... remember one thing Edward...I hate you and I will never love you...even if you are the last person on earth,I will never think let alone consider to be your girlfriend"Chloe said to Edward.
"Never in a life time will there ever be something between us"."We are not friends and we'll never be friends"Chloe said storming out angrily."Edward... I'm so sorry for her behavior"Phoebe said.
Phoebe ran after Chloe but it was too late. Chloe had already called for a taxi and she left for her house. Chloe got home with an angry and sad look on her face. Before she rings the door bell,she decided to cry a little. She could not bear a life without a father.
She needed a father who she can share part of her pains with but there was nobody for her. She decided that she is going to confront her mother and forced the truth of her father out of her.
She wiped away the tears from her face and rang the doorbell. It took a while before her mother could answer and open the door for her. Her mother opened the door and instead of Chloe to greet her,she shouted with tears rolling down her cheeks.
"WHO IS MY DAD!!!Chloe screamed helplessly in tears."Chloe, what's wrong"Lisa said. "Who is my dad???Chloe asked again."Chloe lower the tone you are using to speak to me "Lisa said.
"I won't keep quiet again...for twenty three years... I've stayed without a father in my life...is this fair mum???Chloe said. "Mum... I'm sure that you spent your childhood with your dad... grandpa is still alive so why are you treating me like this?Chloe said in tears.
"Chloe there's a reason for what I did"Lisa said."Mum!!!what is that reason...to hell with your reason "Chloe shouted.
"Enough....I've had enough...I want the truth right now and nothing else"Chloe said."Sometimes,I even wonder if you are actually my real mother because I don't think any mother will treat her child just the way are treating me"Chloe said.
Lisa could feel the pain her daughter is feeling. She felt very bad to see that her daughter is in this condition because of her.
"You want to know the truth right...I will tell you"Lisa."You father and I are not married"Lisa said."What!!!"Chloe said in disbelief.
"Yes my dear...we are not married"
Lisa said."I will tell you everything and why I hid the truth from you for twenty three years"Lisa said.
"I met your father when we were in highschool which was a very long time".
"I never liked him infact I hated him just the way you hate Edward"."We never crossed path with each other"."We were two different people and had so many differences"."But one day, something happened and I started developing feelings for him.
"I decided not to tell him because I was so proud and didn't want anybody to see me as a weakling"."Few days later,your dad came to me and proposed"."He told me that he loves me and wants me to be his girlfriend"."Back in school,I used to be one of the girls who were hard to get"."But since I loved him too and didn't want to lose such an opportunity,I accepted.
"We started going out and eventually we graduation together"."We planed our future together"."Two months after our graduation, I discovered that I was pregnant."I told your dad that I was pregnant and he was so happy that he fixed a date for our wedding."We had planned everything"."It was the day of my wedding and I was very happy but what I never expected to happen actually happened.
"I got to the wedding alter but didn't see my groom"."I started losing hope that maybe he left me on my wedding day and it was actually the truth."I cried my eyes out that day and I was mocked by the guest"."They said that I got myself pregnant before marriage and on my wedding day,my groom fled away. Tears rolled down her cheeks as she narrated the story to Chloe.
