Heavenly Tribulation (1)

"Ryu! What's taking you so long? Hurry up and bring that man."

The young boy's ears pricked up as he heard his uncles words enter his mind. His expression changed to one of annoyance.

"Tsk. Damn geezer." Ryu cursed under his breath.

Without another word, he sent a slash out, opening up a rift in space. He took a quick look around the battlefield, seeing all of the unconscious bodies littered around before quickly disregarding them.

What happened here was none of his business.

With that, he walked through the rift with Victor over his shoulder. As soon as he walked through the rift, it closed.

What was left was now silence and the stench of death over the battlefield.

No one could have predicted the events that had happened on this day, nor could they have prepared accordingly. The puppeteers which pulled the strings from above had pulled the rug out from everyone.
