<p>In the underworld, inside a certain mansion. A huge gathering of people was present, they all were drinking, cheering and chanting as they were all present here for the big occasion. <br/><br/>These people were respective high class devils in the society who had influence to some extent. They normally are busy but not today, they took time out from their schedule to attend this auspicious occasion. <br/><br/>Today, the little sister of the satan, Sirzechs was getting engaged to Riser from the Pheonix clan. They all were present here to form connections with the Pheonix clan and further their influence on the society and climb the ladder of the hierarchy. <br/><br/>Even though a huge celebration was going inside, a certain individual was waiting outside the the designated room of banquet while playing with a certain bottle in his hands, having an blank expression on his face. <br/><br/>But his face lit up, the moment,  a magic circle flared infront of him. A figure rushed out of it, clearly in a rush to head towards the venue. He wasn't even dressed in formal clothes and instead was wearing a school uniform from the human realm. <br/><br/>The figure stopped in his tracks as he saw someone he recognized, it was his best friend, Ryuu. He instantly approached him and was about to question him before he got intercepted. <br/><br/>"I know, but you shouldn't. I have planned something with Sirzechs, if you go there right now, it would be like throwing water at our hard work." <br/><br/>Ryuu cut him off with a short reply. Making the boy confused at first but felt reassured hearing that even Rias' brother was involved in this plan. He inquired for details from his friend but the only reply he received was to wait patiently. <br/><br/>Ryuu had everything under his watch, he just needs to wait for the right moment. According to what Sirzechs told him, Rias was going to make an appearance in less than 10 minutes and that's when it's his time to crash in. <br/><br/>"Ise, start charging your boosted gear, I want you to transfer it all at once later."<br/><br/>The figure, or his friend, Issei agreed immediately as he trusted his friend and a gauntlet appeared on his hands, which started glowing every 10 sec. Ryuu was getting excited and was waiting in anticipation, with only question on his mind, to what degree can the boosted gear boost him. <br/><br/>After a couple of minutes, Ryuu who was silently watching his watch all this time, showed a smile. Issei guessed the meaning behind it and without even being told to, he transferred all the accumulated power up untill now. <br/><br/>Ryuu felt like the amount of power he received, was enough to crush him, reminds him that Issei's sacred gear is definitely not a joking matter. He could feel himself struggling to contain it all, the earlier restrictions, because of his special clothing wasn't there anymore. He felt himself way lighter than before. <br/><br/>He pushed open the door, with a loud sound, the door crashed after reaching the maximum extent the hinges allowed it to rotate. He wanted to make the maximum impact as he was playing the role of protagonist for the first time.<br/><br/>And which he did, as this sudden entry caught everyone's attention, but Ryuu wasn't focused on the crowd, instead his eyes were locked onto the stage. <br/><br/>On the stage, a smiling Satan was staring him, a surprised looking female devil was also staring him, and also a couple of side character were looking his way. <br/><br/>He walked through the hall and approached the stage and slowly walked on it. Everyone watched him patiently, wondering who this boy was to have the guts to be so prideful in front of Satan. <br/><br/>He had already discussed the fine details of the plan with the Satan and now he just needs to act on the rhythm according to the stage that was being set. <br/><br/>"Brother, how can you let my sister marry such a weakling. He is no different than a roasted chicken. Do you really think you are worthy of my sister? You weakling, don't make me laugh."<br/><br/>He acted as if he was just having a conversation with Sirzechs, but his words were loud enough for everyone in the hall to hear. His latter remarks were spoken and directed to a certain someone. <br/><br/>"Who do you think you are? If you have a death wish then say so and today is a important day for the devils so don't ruin it." <br/><br/>And that certain someone was successfully irked. Riser was clearly mad at the start but managed to calm down, it was slightly different from how it was portraied in the story, did Riser had a personality change, out of all the people for the better? It's hard to believe honestly, but for now he needed to maintain his composure. <br/><br/>"It's a wastage of my time to involve myself with the likes of you. You can ask my brother Sirzechs later if you really want to know about me, though I wonder if you the guts to. Also, the engagement is cancelled, I don't care who you are or how important it is, I won't allow it, unless you prove me your strength." <br/><br/>Ryuu was definitely going way off the script here, but he knew Sirzechs would support him over Riser, so he decided to bite the bullet and play it to his advantage. <br/><br/>Riser and their family looked at Sirzechs, expecting some help but judging by his face, it cleared his stance. Making Ryuu rejoice in his heart. <br/><br/>"You want a duel, so be it? But why should I even duel you, I don't see any benefits." <br/><br/>Riser tried to provoke him, he clearly was different than that egoistic person, he was here asking for benefits rather than jumping straight at him which sort of worked in his favour. <br/><br/>"Well, I just announced the engagement null. You are the one challenging me, I guess you could make it more interesting by wagering."<br/><br/>Ryuu wasn't stupid enough to let this chance escape, he played with his words, he never said that he was going to give him a chance in the first place, and Riser, challenging him to duel further clarified that his words did have value. Riser also understood it, that he messed up this time. <br/><br/>"You wanted to establish a connection with both the families. So how about, if you win, you can marry my sister into your family but if I win, your sister will marry into my family. The dates will remain the same, only the groom and bride will be different. Also if you win, you can ask any favour from my brother here." <br/><br/>The earlier part made Riser annoyed as it was an unfair arrangement as the marriage was already decided and why would he even wager on something that was his to begin with. <br/><br/>But the latter part made him quite interested, the chance of making the Satan owe one to him was hard to pass, his greed finally got the better of him. Also, if he did refuse now, he was going to loose a lot of face among the families which are supporting their clan, further losing influence. As how can people trust a leader who was not capable. <br/><br/>Leaving him no choice to but accept his proposal. Sirzechs who was watching the entire conversation until now, was pretty amused to see him pressurise the entire Pheonix clan by mixing the truth with some lies. He was genuinely impressed by Ryuu at this point, not because someone else told him about him being special.<br/><br/>And with this, Sirzechs finally decided to step forward and acknowledged the wager and the duel between them were to commence but not before a exaggerated snap of his fingers, converting the entire venue changed. They were all teleported to a stadium like structure within a custom dimension. <br/><br/>Everyone present in the party was sitting in the stands outside the playing field. ( Imagine the location where Riser vs Issei happened, exactly the same location ). While the contestants for the duel was inside the playing field. <br/><br/>While all of this was happening, Ryuu was planning to finish this battle in a single move or else, the power of boost will be wasted if he takes too long. And as he was wondering how to close the distance between them. Meanwhile Riser was calm as he had a lot of experience in fights, being born as a heir to a great High Class Devil Family. <br/><br/>_____<br/>____<br/><br/>After a breif moment of silence a loud sound echoed throughout the field, signalling the start of the duel. And Ryuu wasted no time and dashed straight towards Riser, but Riser wasn't there to play around either. A pair of pheonix wings grew out of his back and he shot out a huge wave of fire in his directions which managed to connect. <br/><br/>The moment the fight started, Ryuu was hit by such an high temperature of heat, under which any human would definitely melt, even metals wouldn't fair any better. The sudden clash of them caused the audience to gasp as they all knew about the signature strength of pheonix flames, which you should avoid at any cost. <br/><br/>Rias, Sona and their peerage all couldn't help but feel a little sad and expected the fight to end here even he somehow survives it. Especially Rias, she felt it the most, she was extremely happy seeing Ryuu appear and trying to stop the engagement but now she feels bad for putting him to this sort of torment and cursed herself for being so weak. <br/><br/>Everyone had a heavy atmosphere, except two individuals who were hovering in the air and watching the fight with delight. They were a pair of master and servent, the super devil and his maid. <br/><br/>They had really high perception compared to everyone else present here and they could easily see that Ryuu took the attack head on and rather than being pushed back or melted, he braved through it and pushed forward. Although the maid was slightly perplexed with this scene, but the devil was smiling as he was the one pulling the strings behind it. <br/><br/>Ryuu who was supposed to be continually suffering the burning heat wasn't bothered in the slightest but just a pity that he couldn't really use flight because of the constant pressure being applied on him. <br/><br/>The reason why the fire didn't do much to him was simple, the temperature of a normal fire is at max 2800°C in oxygen. He was wearing a full suit of fire resistant clothes which had a resistance of around 3000°C which was provided to him by Sirzechs and moreover he was devil, along with magic so he was easily able to survive it. He just used the magic to protect his face and rest of his body was covered. <br/><br/>Science time! He did some research and got this suit arranged by Sirzechs through his connection in the underworld. He had to say he was definitely impressed by it, he wasn't too sure about it's efficiency but now he didn't had a single bit of doubt. <br/><br/>As he was feeling grateful to Sirzechs, the flame finally suddenly started to die. The entire audience was interested in seeing the condition in which Ryuu was after taking a direct hit or was there even bones left. Finally when the flames completely died out and the dust settled. <br/><br/>But there stood to boy completely different from everyone's expectation. Although the boy had some scratches on his body and slight burn marks on his face, but he was still breathing and stood there proudly. <br/><br/>This shook the audience greatly, regardless of friend or foe. It had a tremoundous impact by witnessing such a miraculous scene first hand in front of them. <br/><br/>But this boy was completely oblivious of his fame he gained as Ryuu wasn't paying attention to the stands but was completely focused on his opponent, who seemed to have given a window to counter. <br/><br/>With this, Ryuu lunged straight towards Riser, growing his own pair of wings which actually caught Riser in a punishable state as he was a bit tired after the continuous use of his flames. <br/><br/>He saw a punch coming straight towards his face, his fighting instincts kicked in, and he immediately tried blocking it with his hands and waited for the collision. But to his suprise, instead of the collision, Ryuu slipped his left hand and grabbed him by his neck. <br/><br/>The punch was actually nothing more than a feint, though he did carry something special for Riser. He took out the bottle which was in his right hand and smashed it on his head. The bottle contained holy water, which was lethal for any devil with the exception being Ultimate class or higher. <br/><br/>He had asked Asia to prepare him this bottle during their training in the mountains as he already planned all this, though originally it was going to be Issei. But, his training with Rias and the others made him confident enough to face Riser. <br/><br/>The moment Riser recoganised the liquid, jt was too late as his head started burning up. He felt an unimaginable magnitude of pain causing him to let out a series of loud screams, but before he could continue his inhuman screams, a punch landed directly in his face. The single punch, with the concentrated power of all the boost from Issei, was enough to carve his skull in with an imprint of his knuckles. <br/><br/>Though luckily for Riser, he was a member of Pheonix clan, so with the help of a few bottles of pheonix tears, he should be completely fit. Ryuu also didn't had any intention of ending his life anyways, his strength just succeeded his imagination as he slightly underestimated Ise's sacred gear. <br/><br/>And with the punch, Riser fell down from the sky with his distorted face, making him look, anything but not human. And finally Ryuu shifted his attention to check the reaction of Rias and others, he found them all rushing towards him. <br/><br/>Rias dove straight into his arms without a care in the world and ignoring the look she received from her friends. She just simply couldn't contain her excitement, she was just too happy to contain it all. Ryuu who accepted her in his arms was wondering whether he should take advantage and push his luck a bit further but decided not to ruin the moment and continued comforting her. <br/><br/>While he was still busy comforting Rias, her brother approached him, interrupting him from enjoying the feel of Rias being in his embrace and explained him, that his presence is needed and leaving him, no choice but to follow. <br/><br/>Although, Rias was clearly against it and so were the rest but a quick explaining was all it took for them and a promise to meet Rias as soon as he comes back was all it took to convince them. As they really couldn't refuse the Satan. <br/><br/>He was also looking forward to his meeting with Rias, but for now he and Sirzechs stepped in the magic circle and vanished from the field. Soon afterwards the dimension started to collapse and everyone left one by one with their family groups, Riser was also collected by his family who were the last to leave. <br/><br/>A/n : Ryuu did it, with the help of some help of Sirzechs and Asia, he pulled it off. This arc took quite some work, also had to redo the entire chapter, cuz it made me feel irritated with how it came out in the starting so it took longer than usual. <br/><br/>Thanks for reading and I hope you continue supporting my little series. <br/></p>
