Song Recommended: Gasoline By Halsey
His steps were loud and he barely made a move to quiet them. He didn't care about the stares that balled into his back. The whispers swept up the room like a harsh wind. The snares seemed to knick his body but it didn't matter.
None of it mattered.
Because this is what he was used to. He was used to the stares and whispers. The desire to be him and the desire to have what he had. They could all be what they wanted but instead, they chose to make the idol they all wanted to be but had to swallow their pride and worship.
And honestly, he loved it.
The door was immediately opened as the guards caught sight of him and they all looked away from him. Knowing how his mother hated the way the people looked at him. As soon as he was inside, he felt his personal guard stay behind, and right then the other guards bowed and moved out his way.
The men around his father all stopped talking and immediately dispersed from the room. Leaving him with his father. Their eyes locked and the red and black orbs glowed brighter and fiercer. His father stood and he immediately bowed.
"Oh Hail, Lucifer, King and Ruler Of Hell!" he proclaimed proudly. He kept his head bowed and awaited him to give him permission to stand. "Since when do you do this nonsense. Mocking me like your mother, get up." Lucifer said and he laughed.
Knowing that his father would react that way. They hugged with grace and gave each other proud smiles. He hadn't seen his father in decades as his mother had sent him away on other assignments. They never called him back home unless it was important, other than that, they preferred that he lived his own life.
"My dearest son, I haven't seen you in decades, your hair has grown longer. Your mother would probably approve. She always liked your hair long, weird woman." He said and gestured at him to sit down on the left side. "It has been long, I have been on earth, living in Italy, causing a few trouble here and there."
"Ahh, that would explain why there were a lot of people coming in that day. Since when did you decide to have a good heart?" Lucifer asked. Watching him with a raised brow.
"I didn't, I just liked sinking my hands into their chests and watching them bleed. That kind of power and their screams made me feel as though I had taken in so many drugs. But of course, they were bad people so now it seems I've turned good." I tsked as I reminisced the bitter-sweet memories.
His father chuckled and looked up at the wide windows above them. "Does your mother know you have arrived?" he asked. "Not yet, but she will hear of it soon. But I am interested to know why you have summoned me back. You don't do such unless it's absolutely necessary." I said.
"That's because it is. Usually, I would take time and watch what happens but something in me feels like I need to keep an eye out, hence why I have sent for you. And not someone like Hades." He said as he stood up and snapped his fingers.
The fire began to blaze around them and immediately he saw what his father saw. A young woman appeared and they could see how she worked in some company but it seemed as though they were all fallen angels.
"Since when do we care about fallen angels? Many of them fall and some end up coming here to serve, others don't. What's so special about her?" I asked as I watched the way she spoke on the phone.
Beautiful, He thought. It had been a long time since he saw a beautiful fallen angel. Maybe he should bed her.
"You will not romanticize with her in any way. She is to be watched not touched. If you get closer, you are to do it in a form of another. Not as yourself." His father warned, automatically sensing what he had thought. "You still haven't told me what's so special about her." I diverted, knowing I wasn't about to follow that rule.
"Her wings were specifically cut by Him. He never does that and plus she is the daughter of my brother. Who, of course, is an archangel and you know that kind of power, doesn't just cease to exist. I have a feeling that he's going to find a way to get here on earth to offer her a way back.
Which I have no issue with, but I can't help but sense that something big is going to come and I need you to report back to me what will be coming. You will not in any way damage her or ruin her or anything. Remember if we touch the light, there will see a trace of darkness.
Understood?"
"Uh-huh, sure got it," I said as I stepped out of the fire and began heading back. "Do not fail me this time Aamon. Otherwise, I will have no choice but to strip you of what you have sowed in all your years of living." Lucifer said, his voice booming throughout the hall.
He paused, his jaw tightening at the reminder of the past. He nodded and continued on his way. Automatically feeling his guard follow. "Where to sir?" came the guard's voice.
"Earth. We have work to do." I said with a dark grin.
