Her body vibrated painfully. Everything inside her screamed from agony and she didn't know how to make it stop. She had to discard everything on her, in order to start feeling close to normal. Taking in a few deep breathes her eyes finally begun to focus on her surroundings.
She was in a forest. A forest that looked like it was in the middle of nowhere and just as when she tried to pull out her wings to fly up that way she could scope the area. She remembered she didn't have wings.
That hurt.
That little thought of her wings and the attempt to have something she was familiar with not be available to help her. Made her remember that gut-wrenching pain in her gut.
That pain of how it felt to have her wings be ripped away from her as though her soul was being set on fire.
Wiping away a tear, she began to put on her armor again before pulling out the map from the bag. She wanted to get to the first place, that way she could find her way and not get lost. She needed to find the angel and get him or her to Him as soon as possible.
She didn't want to feel like this anymore. She didn't want to be an outcast any longer, nor did she want to keep struggling in this case. She wanted Him to wipe her slate clean, to make everyone forget her deeds, and to make her finally feel at peace with herself.
She didn't want the burden of having taken a life on her hands anymore. She wanted to look at her hands and see something good. She wanted to be good.
The map was stretched out when she placed her hands on either side of it. She looked down at it and whispered, "Take me to where you need to begin," and instantly it began to glow.
It slowly revealed a path to her and she knew that it was guiding her to the first task. Memorizing the route, she made sure to take everything in and then placed the map back in the bag and headed to where it had guided her.
"Dammit!" he snapped as he landed painfully on the ground. His entire being hurt more than it should have it and it annoyed him. He hadn't felt pain in a long time and usually, there was never a rough landing. But in this case, everything here was fair game.
He felt a buzz go through his body, making him slightly shiver from the vibration of it. Fisting his hands, he closed his eyes and began to count to ten. Knowing that his body was trying to shift into its original form.
No one had seen it before and he had made sure to keep up with the accomplishment. He knew that if they were to meet and their eyes were to lock. She would see that he was from hell.
Every angel was taught to learn this from the very beginning of their existence. They were trained to see the darkness and to know who in the hierarchy was closer to the devil. He didn't want to fail this mission, he didn't want to fail his father.
So he clenched his fists as hard as he could and bit back a scream. The groan barely escaping his lips as his entire body vibrated with strong heat. He didn't want to fail the war within himself, so the harder he fought to keep the façade the more the pain spread.
He could feel the heat in his body. Shifting around and bouncing within him. trying to find a way out and yet there wasn't a way. It angered the devil within him to be kept back. He was used to freedom but this wasn't the time.
So when he was sure he could finally breathe. He did and when he opened his eyes, the very ground that he had laid himself on was burnt. The very green grass and flowers that had bloomed. Now scorched and he let out a heavy breath, unintentionally letting out a puff of smoke.
He coughed, letting out a flame that had been caught in his throat and when he was sure he was strong enough. He pushed himself up slowly, feeling slightly weak and tired.
Turning he noticed a woman that lay on the ground, not far from him. Unsure whether he was just seeing things. He moved slowly to her and when he saw the marking on her neck. He knew who she was.
Instantly picking her up, he began to start his journey, unsure of where to go but knowing that his father had told him to hunt as best as he was taught. He didn't need a map, he just needed to catch a sniff of her stentch.
Even though he had to carry another in his arms for a while till she found consciousness.
