Chapter Eight: Angels POV: Humanity

Song Recommended: Team By Lorde

Humanity, the living - they've always seen as problematic. Constantly causing havoc to each other and messing with the plans that higher beings have. Their power of choice being the utmost blessing and curse to themselves.

They always want to have things they desire. Always want to be in control and to wipe off those that they inspire. They are always quick to judge and too slow to forgive. Always scorning others for not being like them or even looking like them. Moreover, even believing in what they believe.

It always interested Aural how they were made. He took time designing them, creating them, crafting them. Always saying how perfect they were but as soon as he gave them breath, they turned against him and He still chooses to love them. Unconditionally.

Yet she could see how the angels saw them at times. They at times were burdening, always doing things that they knew would taint their souls. Always harming others and then running towards Him for forgiveness. The angels would argue that they always provided a sign, but the humans chose to ignore it if it wasn't what they wanted to see.

Now she had no choice but to become them, to move with them but still earn enough mercy to return home. She wondered if her father would still welcome her home. She wondered if her mother was alright and a part of her still ached to see her best friend.

The very one that hadn't even tried to help her.

Mercy.

"I'm going to help you find a job, also guide you for a bit but after that, you are on your own." She heard and she turned to find the man who had been helping her for a while. He had been attentive, fed her, and clothed her. He had made sure to guide her and even look out for her.

His kindness was the only thing she had known since she had fallen and a part of her felt eternally grateful for it. What would have happened, if she had been discovered by someone with an evil heart?

"Where will I go?" she asked as she locked eyes with him, realizing that she had nothing here that could help her survive. She didn't have money or clothes. She didn't know how the world really worked. How would she even start looking for a job when she didn't even have the lessons or skills needed?

"I will help you, for now, so don't worry about that, for now, I need to see how you communicate. That way you don't have an issue if you need to talk to someone. Your advantage as a fallen angel is that you still have some abilities. You can read someone's aura, so you will be able to see if someone is being honest with you or not." He said as he stood up and pulled out something from the desk drawer.

"But understand that it isn't here, one person can be genuine with you and decide to change later on. The power of choice here will always surprise even the wisest of humans, angels and creatures.

My advice to you, is simple, do not trust anyone and at times not even yourself." He said as he placed a book in her hand and a pen.

"This is a journal, I am sure you know how to write, the question is can you write in the language of the living. English, being the most important universal language. As time goes on, you will probably desire to learn other languages." He said and moved back to a shelf of books, pulling out a few books.

"Desire?" She asked, "Desire is easily frowned upon."

"Desire here is usually the one thing that will help you move forward. Good or bad, desire helps the idea that one has to change and be worked on. The desire to have a different body. The desire to have money. The desire to be loved. The desire to be looked at with adoration.

Desire here is the one thing that everyone works toward having. Usually at times to prove a point to others or to reward themselves with a gift."

"A gift to what?"

"A gift for working so hard, so you can say a reward, other times a gift in a way to say you deserve it. Trust me in time, you will need that gift. You will desire that reward." He said as he locked eyes with him and for a second I noticed a slow shift in his aura. A grey aura, one that seemed dull, as if he was remembering something in his past that kept him in one place.

"Who are you?" she asked suddenly.

"When you figure yourself out, I will probably tell you." He said with a small smile but then his aura changed back to white and she watched him move to the large screen. "This is called a television screen, It comes in all shapes and sizes. It plays different shows, news and all kinds of entertainment. Yet at times it informs you of everything you need to know."

"What is everything?" she asked, wanting him to elaborate. "Everything around you that will impact you or something that they think you should know." He said. "Isn't that a bit to…" she trailed off not sure what word to use.

"Subjective? Yes, but isn't heaven like that too? You are told that you are perfect and you don't make mistakes and that earth is messy. That our choices make and break us but how did you end up here?"

"Curiosity."

"It's in all of us, the living, Angels, and demons. Curiosity makes and breaks us all from just easily believing in one thing. There's got to be more than what we are told and here on earth, everyone is trying to discover more than what they are just taught to believe.

So welcome to earth where there's more to what you are just taught." He said with a dark chuckle.
