The Luna who cannot Shapeshift

"Excuse me? Do you know each other, Roman?", Sebastian blocked Roman before he could even touch Diana. The Luna held Sebastian's arm as he shield her from the beautiful stranger whose gazes were uncomfortably locked on her. Even if Sebastian couldn't sense what Diana is, he vows to protect her having it known that she is Scott's Luna.

"Stay out of the way, punk. That's our Luna", Gunner said towering Sebastian. "Alpha, are you sure you imprinted on her? She doesn't seem like a wolf", he added as he sense Diana.

"YOUR Luna?", Damon scoffed, holding Gunner back. "There must be some kind of mistake here. She's my brother's Luna", he replied.

"I'm sure there's no mistake. She should know, she definitely imprinted on me too", Roman said as he tried to peek at the beauty behind Sebastian.

Sebastian looked back at Diana with a confused face as she shrugged her shoulders. "I'm not sure what's happening here, but this Luna is taken. So back the hell up Roman", Sebastian said as he push Roman away. Sebastian might be queer and soft at heart, but when it comes to family, he could man up especially if the situation calls for it. And in the absence of Scott like in this very moment, he needs to protect the Luna as what he did before.

"I thought we're friends?? Why don't you back away from my Luna, Devlin!", Roman said as he charge towards Sebastian. But when he was about to take him down, they heard a long, spine-chilling howl. The heavy rains suddenly subsided, and the winds ceased from dancing with the trees and the shrubs.

Diana saw fear in the eyes of the four naked wolf men in front of her. They were looking around in anticipation of somewhat great danger. 'What could be scary in a wolf's howl?', she thought.

"I don't believe it", Gunner said in fright as he have sensed a perilous aura from an unforeseen creature.

"Diana, we have to go now", Sebastian whispered as to where Diana agreed.

Just when they were about to sneak out, Diana noticed a sparkly object under the bushes. She crouched down and saw the necklace she gave to Scott. She hurriedly wore it and held Sebastian's hand.

"We have to look for Scott", she said. Then they heard a much lower growls and howls approaching them. "He'll manage to protect himself, he's an Alpha. For now, we should go", Sebastian replied.

Damon, Diana and Sebastian backed away a little bit, while Gunner and Roman faced the creature nearing at hand.

"Don't be afraid, Luna. I'll protect you", Roman said as he smile at Diana.

"What's going on, Seb?", Diana asked. Sebastian didn't answer, and was just standing frozen waiting for the creature to come out from the dark.

In a matter of seconds, two wolves suddenly jumped in front of the group.

"Lucas!! Cory!! ", Damon shouted as he approached the pack members. "Did you hear it??", he frightfully asked.

Lucas shifted to his human form, panting so much as he catch his breath. "WHERE'S… WHERE'S SCOTT?? WHERE'S THE.. WHERE'S LUNA???", he panically said as he rest his hands on his knees.

Diana let go of Sebastian's hand and rushed to Lucas. "He just disappeared. What's going on??", Diana asked.

"Allen, David and Austin are also looking for him now. We have to go Luna. This place isn't safe", Cory breathlessly replied shifting from his wolf form.

The guttural sound of hostility started again, as if the seemingly large beast is very close.

"Alright, enough catching up. You heard the alarm, we better go", Roman said as he grab hold of Diana. "Luna let's go, time to shapeshift", he added.

"I can't..", Diana replied leaving Roman dumbfounded.

"Huh? Why not?", Roman said as he uncontrollably graze Diana's face. Holding her made him get more bewildered in her enchanting beauty and fragrant scent. The closer he got to Diana and the moment he touched her hand, he is more certain that he imprinted on Scott's Luna too.

"Hands off our Luna, while I'm being nice", Sebastian said as he held Diana's other hand.

"Who's this dimwit?", Lucas scoffed as he stare at Roman from head to toe.

"Who are you calling dimwit, shithead?", Gunner said as he bump Lucas head to head.

Then they heard the trees breaking, wood crunching, and heavy footsteps from the dark in between the large trees. The thin cold winds started to clatter and hiss towards the group giving off more chills on their skin.

Roman lifted his hand in the air and whispered, "Nobody move". He held Diana's cold hand close to him, ready to take her away.

Despite all the warnings and danger signs, each of them still didn't moved. Fastened on their feet as they waited in vain to see what's about to happen, they all looked directly at the spot where the low growls were coming from.

The snarls grew louder, as the feeling of heaviness of the group increased. The deafening silence filled the air, not even crickets or frogs dared to make a sound.

Then, a pair of glowing bright golden yellow eyes and an enormous dark shadow appeared. Cory looked back at the group and shouted, "RUN!! IT'S A WEREWOLF!".

Before they could even see a clear view of the beast, they all turned back to escape its threatening wrath. Running for their lives, they worry about the Luna who cannot shapeshift.

Diana wriggled her hand from Roman, loosening from his grip. Before he could reach for her again, Lucas swiftly grabbed her and tossed her on Damon's back, who shifted to his wolf form.

"Take her somewhere safe and find Scott, we'll buy you time", he said to the fastest member of the pack.

"I'll take her", Roman said as he try reach for Diana.

"Scott's not here, we need an extra Alpha claws", Lucas replied.

'He's right', Roman thought. Amongst the wolves here, he's the strongest and most capable being who can fight any creature. Also, he needs to protect his Luna.

"Diana, stay with Damon! I'll catch up", Sebastian shouted as he turned to a glistening white wolf.

Diana held onto Damon's fur, like riding a fiery steed. When she looked back, Lucas and Cory stopped running and stayed behind to face the beast. Her heart started to pump faster in fear when she saw a glimpse of the invincible mystical creature roaring in rampage. She gasped as she closed her eyes clinging on Damon who's running at full speed.

Followed by Roman and Gunner in their wolf forms, the pair of the strongest wolves of the Black Creek Clan did not intend to leave their Luna on the hands of the untrusted and weak wolves of the Grayback Clan. They may be known as a smart wolf clan, but they are weak without an Alpha. Roman hissed as he see his Luna being taken away by Damon. They tried to catch up as they run like the wind.

Cory and Lucas, who were the last of the wolf trail, decided to stop to stall the beast. They darkened their eyes as soon as the enraged predator stepped under the moonlight, showing his complete form.

"That's no werewolf", Cory said as he look up the face of the enemy in terror. "That's.. that's..", he stuttered.

"A lycan", Lucas growled as they shifted to their wolf form.
