Please Come Out, Luna

DIANA POV

The moon is as confused as me, as it shines along with the sun at broad daylight. I was standing in front of the building where I live, feeling the warm strong winds blew my hair as it flew all over my face. I caught my hair in the air, when I noticed a piece of paper in my hand. I opened it but there's nothing written. Instead of throwing it away, I folded it and kept it in my pocket.

Despite getting bad hunches to go in my own home, it felt like I needed to go up. I walked in the lobby and groaned after seeing the elevator under maintenance. "Really?", I grunted. Forcing myself to use the stairs to the 21st floor, I dragged my feet climbing on every flight of the stairs. The deafening silence in the staircase was disturbingly bothering, together with the flickering lights in one of the floors of the building. Tiny droplets of sweat started to appear on my forehead when I reached the 12th floor.

Moments later, I heard someone going up the stairs a few floors down. Peeking downstairs, I saw a black figure holding onto the siderails as it climb up. At first it was just clacking footsteps walking slowly. I looked up and realized there's no one else other than me and the person a few floors below me. I continued going up as I sighed anxiously.

Then, it walked the same pace as I do. I stopped again for a while and took a quick glance down. And to my surprise, it stopped too and even took a peek up to me. I nervously shifted my gaze ahead of me and dared to look again. It then started running! The sound of its feet climbing the stairs made my heart race in edgeness. I ascended the stairs in larger steps until I saw myself running as fast as I could. I looked down and the black figure was no longer there. I hurriedly went to the corridors and reached for the door of my home. I sighed in relief as I finally entered my house. Then, I felt eerie as if something was watching me from behind. When I turned around, I saw a dark figure sitting on my couch. It slowly stood up and walked up to me. As it stepped into the light, I screamed at its bloodshot eyes and sharp fangs as it lunged unto me…

I woke up screaming until I lose my breath. I even fell off the couch from the fearful nightmare that seemed so real. My neck hurts feeling like the vampire really had its fangs sunk in my flesh.

"Bad dream?", Kristia asked as she offer a hand to help me stand up.

Panting heavily, I took her hand. "Sort of..", I didn't know I slept on the couch by the bay window after a small talk with Roman. I sat on the couch and rested my head back on the window, with my palms covering my face.

"What is it about?", Kristia sat beside me as she earnestly listen to my reply.

"Ah.. just one of the common fears I have", I replied with a timid smile.

"Can you tell me about it?", Kristia seemed very interested with my dream.

"Oh.. uhh.. A vampire attacked me.. I went back home in the city, then there he was waiting for me in my house. As soon as I closed the door, it attacked me", I answered.

"Did it bit you?", Kristia asked worriedly, even though it was just a dream.

"No, I woke up. It did felt like it bit me though, but it didn't because I woke up", I explained. "You look worried.. it's just a dream, Kristia", I smiled as I tap her warm hands.

"Have you heard of Rêve de Lune?", Kristia asked.

"No", I answered.

"Rêve de Lune means dream of the Luna. They say that the Luna's dream is a premonition of what's going to happen..", Kristia said.

"You mean.. my dreams are signs?", I asked.

"No.. your dreams tells you what will happen sometime in the future. When a Luna dreams, it comes true", Kristina explained with her eyes marked with fear.

"Like a warning..", I said.

"Like a preview. ", Kristia replied. "So.. your dream.. it just told you that you're going to be attacked by a vampire in your home", she added.

"Can it be stopped?", We make our own destiny. There's no way my dreams would literally come true. How could it happen if I'm here? I'm certain that the previous dream that I had came true because it was a nothing but a mere coincidence.

"No. Nothing can stop your destiny. They are bound to happen whether you like it or not", Kristia warned. "Be careful, always", she added.

I sighed sharply with a smile. Then, I looked around and noticed no one is inside the hut aside from me and Kristia. "Where's Roman and his pack?", I asked.

"They went out for a run, to pay respects to the werewolves of this valley. His father is the head of the council here.", Kristia explained.

"At this time of the night?", I looked at the clock on the wall, and it was already past nine in the evening. Grazing on my bare wrist, I suddenly thought of the moonphase watch I lost back in the campsite. I miss Scott terribly. It broke my heart when I saw him being intimate with Christina. Before dozing off earlier, Roman told me that Scott is now a lycan and is no longer considered a wolf. Wherefore, his ways of thinking, power and total being is much more different than theirs now. Did he really changed? Then, why is he here?

"It has been long overdue. Don't worry, we are safe here. This house may be old, but it's protected with different kinds of spells", Kristia replied. "I'll be going in now. Good night, Luna", she added as I gave her a smile.

The hut then grew quiet with only the sound of cicadas and owls being heard coming from outside. I stared at the bay window and rested my arms on the surface. Thinking of until when will I stay here, I deeply sighed with grief and longing for the life I have back in the city. As I look outside, I saw a tiny man in dark colored clothes holding a torch, and waving at me like it's signalling me to come out.

Who would dare come out at this time of the night, and in the middle the forest? I squinted my eyes and stared at him closely. He was still standing there and have kept waving at me nonstop. Remembering Alva's motherly advice, do not talk to strangers. Yes, I still consider her my mother. What can I do? She's been so good to me, that I can't deny.

I stood up and stared at him blankly before I decided to go to my room. As I turned my back, I suddenly heard someone tapping on the glass. When I looked, I gasped at the sight of the tiny man who's already by the window. "Please come out, Luna. Scott is here", he said.

Feeling uncertain with the person who doesn't seemed acquainted with Scott, I didn't moved from where I was standing. I am not afraid, for the house is protected. He can't easily come in. "I don't want to see him", I replied.

"But.. he's here for you", he said with his lips curved down. "Let's hurry, Roman and the werewolves will come back anytime soon. We'll miss our chance to escape", he added.

Freedom, tempting offer with no assurance. Thinking that I have nothing to lose, I agreed. I took a silver knife and placed it in the back pocket of my black pants, just in case I would need it. Then, I wore a black cloak hanging on the wall. I opened the door and there, the tiny man was already waiting.

"Hello Luna! I'm Ofir. Shall we go?", he asked.

I smiled as he remained standing with his hands in his pockets, a few steps away from the hut. Even if the door is wide open, Ofir didn't attempted to come in. Then, as soon as I stepped out of the hut, he pulled out his hand from his pocket and blew gold dust to my face. Instantly, I felt my eyes getting heavy and my body feeling weakly.

"She deserves that. She's too loud.. Now there's finally peace in my forest once again", Wren hummed a tune happily as he walked deep into the woods. He looked back at Scott who's still stunned kneeling on the ground. "Are ya coming?", he asked.

Scott stared at the severed body of Christina. It is true indeed that she's getting to his nerves and her persistence is over the top, but he never thought of ending her life even in the lightest way possible. Given that she once threatened the life of his Luna, he still found forgiveness in his heart for the woman who once saved his life.

"Come on, Lycan! I have something to show you", Wren whistled delightfully as he walk through the woods.

Without a word, Scott followed Wren with caution. As tiny as he is, Wren undeniably possesses great power that summons the earth to put blood in his tiny hands.

The hours after the sun set and they were still walking in the middle of the woods. Scott felt that Wren is just taking his time and not really leading him to some place. "If you want to kill me, you should do it now", Scott said as he stopped walking.

"Is that a threat?", Wren asked looking back at the tensed Alpha.

"If that's what you call it", Scott knitted his brows as he starts to lose his patience.

"No one in this valley would dare kill a cursed lycan", Wren said as he gave Scott a wide smile. "Relax, we are here", he added as he open a way through the large leaves and thick bushes directed to a person tied on a tree.

Scott looked around as he hears the leaves rustle. Noticing an opening, he widened his eyes when saw Diana unconscious and tied on a hundred year old tree with a vine. "What happened? What have you done??", Scott hissed as he sprinted towards Diana.
