Let Me Out

"I will free you", Scott repeteadly said as he approach the original vampire who's temporarily in human form. The stone-floored room was pitch black, surrounded by white grainy wood-paneled walls. There were two iron chairs in the far back end of the room that has brown leather wrist cuffs, and affixed leg irons facing each other. One was occupied by the vampire, and the other was empty.

As he drew closer, he noticed the different markings beneath the seats. "What does those markings say?", he asked Ofir as he took quick glances on the chairs.

"Hmm, let me see", Ofir checked each chair and the bizarre markings written beneath them. "This one says, Rex Luporum. It means King of the Wolves.", they then went to the other chair where Claudia is seated. Ofir sprinted in his tiny steps as fast as he could to match Scott's pace.

Approaching Claudia who had eyes burning in anger, Ofir fearfully and cautiously took a peak on the markings and said, "Interfector Noctis, Killer of the Night..". Claudia startled the tiny lythari elf as she thrusted forward. She experiences difficulties seeing in the dark in a human form, thanks to Ofir's glowing skin that lightened up her prison.

"Yaaa!!", Ofir screamed in fear as he hid behind Scott. Clearly, the markings dictate for whom the seats are. Ofir looked around for a particular mark to complete his assumption on the nagua's intentions.

"Is it meta-power transfer?", Scott asked.

"It doesn't make any sense", Ofir knitted his brows as he look around the room. "I can't find the vectored sun, moon and a lion", he shrugged his shoulders in perplexity. "I don't think the nagua is after the meta-power manipulation.", he added.

"Then what is?", Scott wondered.

"Done with the educational tour? If you're going to unbound me from this stupid chair, you better do it now", Claudia impatiently hissed as she glared at Scott and Ofir.

"Why were you locked in here?", Scott asked unbothered with Claudia's roughness and annoyance.

Angered with so much delay to let her go, Claudia violently wriggled her wrists and legs as she screamed, "Let me out!!! LET ME OUT!".

"Lycan King, she's locked in here for a reason. And yet, we're freeing her?? This is ridiculous. Let's just leave her here", Ofir said as he took a peek.

"I asked you a question, old bat. Why are you bound here? Answer me or you'll stay and rot in that chair for the rest of your life", Scott said calmly. With a smug face, Claudia tried to calm down as she take short narrow breaths.

"I'm waiting.", Scott added.

With not much choice, Claudia sharply sighed and hardened her face. "I just arrived in this town after fifty years for only one cause. I was informed that our kind have mysteriously vanished in this place. I was assuming my children are being pulverized by some pack of dogs..", she gazed at Scott from head to foot in disgust. "I wasn't aware that there's a magical relation that threatens our existence. It was too late before I found out. I was led here by my treacherous creation, only to find out he works for a witch.", Claudia grasped on the edge of the armchair until her fingers turned white. "Could you believe it? You get betrayed by your own kind. I've never learned my lessons even after a thousand years", Claudia scoffed as she rolled her eyes.

"The blood rushing through my veins… the excessive weakness on my knees, the blurry sight in the dark, the poor senses and the slowness of my reflexes.. it's humiliating and sickening. No wonder there were no more vampires detected in this damned city. They have chosen to become a prey, instead of becomine the hunter", Claudia squinted her eyes on Scott and Ofir who seemed like still seeking for more responses from her. "You can't find the answer from me. I was just strapped in here as soon as I changed to a weakling by the girl with the spellbound blood ", Claudia added.

Scott thought that Claudia doesn't have an exact idea why she's brought here. But one thing is for sure, Alva needs her and that's enough reason for him to set this vampire free regardless of the dangers that goes with her.

"I will set you free.. but you'll have to leave this place and don't ever go my way", Scott said.

"Vampires aren't that obedient to wolves, much more to a lycan, my King", Ofir whispered as he pulled Scott's trousers.

Claudia smirked. "I won't leave this place until I get my hands on that wombat, and annihilate all who aided her for trying to tie me down", Claudia replied with a piercing stare.

"Fine. I'll let you get your revenge on Tamara. Just stay out of my way", Scott said.

"So.. what are you waiting for?", Claudia asked with her brows lifted.

"Ofir", Scott ordered the lythari elf to remove the leather straps and iron cuffs wrapped on Claudia's extremities.

"Oh dear..", Ofir nervously come forth hesitating to unshackle the original vampire who he believes is dark and heinous down to her core.

With her eyes staring fixedly on Ofir, the shackles vanished with a flick of the lythari's hand. Claudia grinned and said, "You're quite a useful elf, aren't you?", Claudia stood up and snapped her neck as she stared at Ofir.

"Lythari elf", Ofir stressed out as he rushed back close to Scott.

Claudia scoffed and met Scott's darkened eyes as she leave the room. "Farewell my unlikely rescuers. I hope I won't see you again", she said.

They watched Claudia walked out of the room. "I hope we did the right thing", Ofir frightfully said. "Now what? Looks like Diana's not here.", he added.

Scott thought Diana would come here to seek answers from Alva about the possible whereabouts of her father. Sadly, he doesn't have much of a clue where he would start looking for his Luna. It goes to show that she knows exactly where to go. "We did the right thing. Alva needs that vampire. Now she'll have to look for her again", Scott said as walked closer to the chair that was intended for the King of the Wolves. With all his might, he slammed the chair breaking it into pieces using one hand.

After destroying the chair, Ofir went out of the door, followed by Scott. On their way up, Ofir suddenly stood frozen as he breathe shakily. "Hey? Are you broken or something?", Scott asked as he poke Ofir's tiny body.

"She's here", Ofir said as he looked up.

The pair walked out the door and saw Alva standing by the open main door across the hallway. She glared furiously at the pair who just came out of the basement.

"What the hell have you done?!", Alva exclaimed

"Why did you let her go??", she furiously said as she widen her eyes in anger.

"You're quite fond of getting companions for a nagua. I didn't know nagualli can be interested in vampires.", Scott walked closer with his hands inside his pockets. "Not just regular bloodsuckers, but the most invincible ones. They aren't good as pets, you know. They bite", Scott said. Ofir followed Scott's footsteps right behind him, avoiding Alva who's blazing in vexation.

Alva clenched her teeth as she meet Scott's eyes. "You have a lot of guts to come back here anytime you want. Did my daughter told you that your dearest presence is much needed in my basement?", she said.

"In that seat? It's all broken now. You better get a new one", Scott replied.

Wondering why Scott paid her a visit, Alva suddenly realized that Diana and Scott might have gone their separate ways. "Seems to me, she have ran away again, didn't she?", Alva grinned ear to ear. "Of course. Who would want to spend a lifetime with someone who'd eventually kill her? Her blood being the cure for her cursed lover would be such a big sacrifice to give", Alva teased seeing the hardenend face of Scott. "Uh-oh.. she didn't tell you?", Alva asked in bewilderment.

"Listen to me clearly. I, Tamara the Nagua, cursed the Lockwoods to become the slave of the moon. Lycans who will prey on their Lunas to break the curse.. so, if there's anyone you should be kind to, that should be me. The only nagua who can lift the curse without you killing your beloved Luna", Tamara batted her eyes on Scott who's gaping in disbelief on what he just heard.
