Chapter 1

My name is merlin vaughn I'm 16 I have two sisters, and only one parent, my mom. My mom was the greatest parent I could ever wish for, until she died, and I was there when it happened.

I was sleeping but then I heard a scream I got up and ran over to my Door to open it wouldn't budge until I heard glass shatter, I ran upstairs and looked out the window and saw my mom on the floor dead.

Merlin: *screaming

My sisters came to me when they heard me screaming and tried to comfort me as much as possible even though they weren't doing well themselves.

—3 months later—

My sister mel always believed that the death of our mother was a murder not an incident but my other sister mags believed what the public had to say, they said it drunk incident, but like mel I didn't think that was true, I thought there was more to how the entire house was so cold except for my room, I still don't have a good theory but even if I say one people will think I'm crazy.

—a few hours later—

Front door: * knock *knock *knock *knock *knock

I came downstairs to see who it was, and a woman was standing there.

Woman at the door: "hi um I'm macy vaughn." She says with a smile on her face

Mags: "yes?" She ask in a tired manner

Macy: "I just moved to hilltown." She says beating around the bush

Mags: "I'm sorry this just isn't a great time." She says as she almost closed the door but she was stopped

Macy: "no wait please… I think I'm your sister." She says as she looks maggie dead in the eyes

Merlin: "I can believe it." I say nonchalantly

Mel, mags, and macy look up at me

Merlin: "I mean if you remember my last name is different from you two, actually it the same as hers she probably came to see me." I say as if it's definitely why she's come here

She looks at me with hope in here eyes

The power goes out and mel, mags, macy scream.

—Scene cut—

Mel: "well it's not the circuit."

Mags: "mel look at this."

Maggie says as she is looking at picture of her mom but younger holding a baby in front of the house.

Mel: "I saw.. where'd you get it?"

Macy: "I found it when my dad died. I just got a jod at the university, I was walking by and saw your house."

Mel: "so our mom gets murdered and three months later you appear. what do you want?"

Macy: "I don't want anything."

Mel: "Because we don't have anything!"

Mags: "mel!"

Macy: "money? I don't want money."

Mel: "then why are you here?"

Macy: "because I just found out and I thought maybe… whatever it was clearly a mistake."

Macy walks out the door and merlin follows her

Merlin: "macy wait."

Macy stop

Macy: "what?" When she says this she sounds ready to cry

Merlin: "I'm sorry about mel but it's been on her with mom's death and all." I say to try and dismiss any resentment she has towards maggie

Macy: "it's okay."

—the next day—

I woke up in a chair and saw mel mags and macy near me we were tied to our chairs

Man in a suit: "hello ladys and gentleman."

The girls scream a globe flys at the man as he holds his hand out to stop it.

The man: "don't don't worry…. there is a reasonable explanation… you are witches." He says as he sounds slightly excited

Merlin: "and what about me?" I ask in confusion

The man: "you are a wizard." He says sounding more excited

Merlin: "like Harry Potter." I say excitedly

The man: "exactly like Harry Potter anyway you are the charmed ones the most powerful witches and wizard of them all." He explains

Mel: "he's the new woman study's teacher I knew something was off about him." She says scowling

The man: "well that is unnecessarily rude but I'll let it go because I know this is a lot." He says with speed

Mel: "untie us right now or else." She says attempting to intimidate the man

The man snappes and the binds come undone

Macy: "this isn't happening." She says trying to comprehend what was happening

Mel: "so I'm not crazy I thought I was crazy." She says as she starts rambling

Mags: "all of this is crazy."

The girls continue rambling until the man yells "girls!"

Mel glares at him

The man: "sorry ladys. Now we all saw what macy did with the globe, looks like we got telekinesis."

Macy: "telekinesis is not a thing." She says

The man: "then again it did fly across the room." He says wih a mouth that moves faster than the flash

Macy: "and there has to be a scientific explanation." She says trying to make sense of it all

The man: "ahh yes it called molecular witchetcs." He says making a pun

Macy: "not funny." She says with a straight face

The man: "particle witchology?" He continues to try the joke

Mel lifts her hand trying to focus

The man: "alright what are you doing." He says confused

Mel: "trying to freeze time." She says as she continues trying to freeze time

The man: "oh is that you power well it makes sense very common with control fricks." He says not holding anything back

Mel: "why isn't it working?" She says frustratedly

The man: "it's a craft witchcraft which means you have to figure out how to control it." He explains

A lamp flys at the man and catchs it.

The man: "well looks like you already mastered yours brovo." He says congratulating macy

Mags: "so this means I really was reading minds." She says as she remembered her bumping into all those girls at kappa

The man: "a testament to your innate sensitivity or desperate insecurity they're two sides of a coin really not to worry I will help you understand it all." He says excited to be teaching

The man looks at me as if asking what about me and I just shrugged.

Merlin: "I have done anything supernatural yet." I say slightly saddened that I show no signs of powers

The man: "Well don't be disheartened they will come in eventually, moving on, I am an advisor to witches and wizards in merlin's case they call me a white lighter.. physically I died in 1997-" He was cut off

Mel: "wait was mom a witch?" She ask

The white lighter: "bingo. And part of my spich. You're mother was a witch.. a very powerful one she bound your powers when you each were born to protect you and let you live normal lives. Now she was in the process of unbinding those powers… the night she was murdered." He says the end sadly

Mel: "I knew it I knew she didn't fall." Proud about something she shouldn't be

Mags: "who killed her?" She ask curiously

The white lighter: "we don't know as of yet… there was ice at the scene so cold is a characteristic but there are literally thousands of different demons associated with cold." He says as he stands and walks to a large book

Mags: "what are you even talking about?" She says confused

The still unnamed white lighter: "it's all here" he says with the book in hand "The book of shadows the ancient oracles predicted three signs of apocalypse The first when the weakest of man reaches ill gotten glory an- oh god this goes on and on the language is far to flarry for my taste but suffice to say it's your current president." He reads from the book of shadows

Mags: "can we go back to the part where you said apocalypse?" She asks to understand what is happening

The white lighter: "not really I'm in a rhythm here. The second sign the movements great sages fall well that was referres to your mothers death and senior witches that have been killed." He continues reading after the interruption

Mel: "other witches? How many are there?" She ask

White lighter: "really this works much better as a monologue if you don't mind. The final sign hasn't happened yet with the blossoming of death comes the awakening of the source of all evil… and then we fall." He says
