Wolfgang POV

The first time I saw Kyungjoon he was a scrawny fourteen-year-old with a mouth too big, a splattering of pimples on his bunny-like face and untamed red locks. He was everything a proper 'Baekje' boy wasn't supposed to be, which was probably why I found him entertaining.

In my eyes, Baekje Kyungjoon was a kid and though I was barely four years older I had already been an 'enforcer' for a few years, killed several people and fucked my fair share of varied consorts.

The moment Yunho and I were back in Seoul, busy with mob business and easy society boys and girls. I didn't give the rude redhead a second thought, I'd pretty much forgotten all about Kyungjoon. When we returned to Busan three years later, for his wedding to Soohyuk, Baekje Ha-kyun's second son, who was an omega.

Yunho had gotten it into his head that he wanted to see Soohyuk before the wedding because he wanted to make sure he was on the pill, but I knew it was just because he was eager to see how Soohyuk had grown up.

When Soohyuk appeared behind Baekje's youngest brother, Dojin, by the door frame to their suite in the Shilla, my eyes didn't know which part of him to check out first.

'He was hot. Soohyuk filled up nicely.'

Soohyuk's body is sexy, but his face looks so pure and innocent, a very warm face, I would say. He looks like the sexy, cute boy next door who's nice to everyone. He was also Yunho's fiancée and is firmly 'off-limits.'

Not to mention that Soohyuk was a bit too demure for my taste.

But the moment I entered the suite, Soohyuk was the last thing on my mind. My gaze settled on the boy with the flaming red hair who lounged on the sofa, long legs casually crossed and propped up on the coffee table.

At once the long-forgotten memory of his rudeness resurfaced and with it my interest in Kyungjoon. He wasn't the awkward, scrawny boy he used to be.

'Definitely, not scrawny.'

He had developed all the right curves in all the right places, his thighs and that ass, his face had gotten rid of those pimples.

Unlike most people I knew, Kyungjoon didn't seem impressed by me.

To be honest, it looked like I was a cockroach and Kyungjoon wanted to squash me under his thick, chunky boots.

With a smirk, I headed straight for him, never one to shy away from a challenge.

'Especially a hot, feiry challenge. What was life without the thrill of getting burned?'

Kyungjoon straightened immediately, his black boots landed on the ground with a thud, then he narrowed his eyes at me.

If he thought that would stop me, he was thoroughly mistaken.

"You shouldn't be here alone with us," Kyungjoon muttered, his eyes moving from Yunho to me.

Damn it.

This omega's something else.

"It's not appropriate."

Yunho didn't seem too impressed, it was obvious that Kyungjoon grated on his nerves. Already something he and I had in common.

"Where's good ol' Bang!? Shouldn't he be guarding this door?" Kyungjoon asked.

"He's probably on the toilet or taking his break," Soohyuk said.

I almost laughed, 'What kind of idiots worked for these Baekje brats? Things in Hwang Geum Byul (Golden Star) seemed to follow very different rules.'

I could tell that Yunho was on the verge of an outburst. He'd been on edge for days, probably because his balls were bursting.

"Does it often happen that he leaves you without protection?" Yunho asked.

"Oh, all the time," Kyungjoon snapped, then rolled his eyes. "You see, Dojinnie, Soohyuk and I sneak out every weekend because we have a bet going on - who can pick up more guys."

'Big words for a boy who's probably never seen a cock in real life.'

Yunho shot me a look, he'd probably thought the same and Kyungjoon didn't know anything about my brother if he thought it was a good thing to taunt him like that.

Yunho stalked toward his little fiance, "I want to have a word with you, Soohyuk."

Kyungjoon jumped to his feet like a wolf determined to protect his young, "I was joking, for fuck's sake!"

He tried to get in between Yunho and Soohyuk, which was a fucking bad idea. Before Yunho could lose his shit, I grabbed his wrist and dragged Kyungjoon away.

Kyungjoon's eyes flashed with fury. "Let go of me or I'll break your fingers."

'I'd love to see you try.'

I released him with a smirk that seemed to enrage him only further if the narrowing of his eyes was any indication.

Yunho started leading Soohyuk away, "Come on. Where's your room?"

"I'll call our father! You can't do that," he hissed.

'Of fuckin' course, Yunho didn't give a fuck.'

The Hwang Geum Byul's head, Baekje Ha-kyun, who has united both clans under his rule, would have given Soohyuk up to my brother years ago. He definitely wouldn't care if Yunho sampled the goods a few days before the wedding. The door fell shut and Kyungjoon stalked toward it. I gripped his hand again before the omega could piss off Yunho even more.

'This omega didn't know what was good for him.'

"Give them some privacy. Yunho won't rip Soohyuk's clothes off before the wedding night."

Kyungjoon shook me off. "Do you think that's funny?"

"What are they talking about?" Dojin asked.

The door to the suite suddenly swung open and ol' Bang stepped in, sending a glare my way. The old man still hasn't forgiven me for insulting his wife three years ago.

"Kyungjoon, Dojin, come here," he said sharply.

I cocked one eyebrow at him.

'Was he worried I'd hurt them? If that were my intention, they definitely wouldn't be standing next to me unscathed.'

Demian rolled his eyes behind Bang's back and I smirked.

'Of course, the old man caught it and his fingers moved a bit closer to his knife holder.'

"Do it, old man. It's been too long since I had a good fight." I taunted lightly.

Dojin obeyed at once and walked toward their bodyguard. As expected, Kyungjoon stayed beside the door of his brother's bedroom.

"Yunho dragged Soohyuk into his bedroom. They are alone in there."

Ol' Bang started to head toward the door, but I blocked his way. Demian was close behind him. Not that I would need him to stop the old guy.

Bang tried to stare me down, he was at least a foot and a half smaller than me, and no matter how good of a knife fighter he was, I'd cut him open with my blade before he could even blink.

'My fingers are itching to do it.'

"They aren't married yet," Kyungjoon said like that was news to me.

"Soohyuk's virtue is safe with my brother, don't worry."

Bang's lips thinned, and I had a feeling that he wanted to start a fight as much as I did. Before things could get entertaining, the door to Soohyuk's bedroom opened and he walked out. He looked as if he'd seen a ghost.

I gave Yunho a look.

'Did he have to scare the shit out of his fiance a few days before their wedding?'

"What are you doing here?" old Bang asked.

"You should pay better attention. In the future, keep your breaks to a minimum," Yunho told him.

"I was gone for only a few minutes and there were guards in front of the other doors."

Bored by their argument I turned my attention back to the redhead. Kyungjoon placed his hands on his hips, somehow pushing his chest out. He had a body to die for. I wondered if Baekje had already set him up with some loser from their clan.

Kyungjoon met my gaze. "What are you looking at?"

I let my eyes wander, "Your hot body."

"Then keep looking. That's all you ever get to do with my 'hot' body."

"Stop it," Bang warned.

Kyungjoon really shouldn't have said that as I'd always enjoyed the hunt. While Yunho didn't bother once a person proved to be work, I'd always preferred going after a difficult conquest.

Kyungjoon's narrowed eyes followed me when Yunho, Demian and I left the suite. I smiled to myself.

'The boy had fire.'

Yunho sighed, "Don't tell me you've set your sights on the redhead. He's a major pain in the ass."

"So what? He'd make my life more interesting."

"What? Killing off Yakuzas and having a new toy in your bed every other night isn't doing the deal for you?"

"I like to change things up now and then."

"You can't have him, Kyungjoon's off-limits. Don't bring war with the Hwang Geum Byul's down on us because you pawed at Baekje's son. There's only one way you could have the redhead in your bed and that's if you marry the brat and that's not going to happen."

"Why not?"

Yunho paused and turned his head to face me, "Tell me you're joking."

I shrugged.

'I didn't want to marry yet, or ever for that matter, but that 'dear' old man had been in my case for months, every one he'd suggested so far had been boring as hell.'

Yunho gripped my shoulder. "You won't ask Baekje for his son's hand tonight."

"Is that an order?" I asked quietly.

"No. A piece of advice." Yunho smirked. "If I ordered you, you'd do it just to annoy me."

"I'm not a teenager," I said, then smirked because Yunho knew me too well.

"I know you, little brother. The moment the hunt is over and you got what you wanted, you lose interest. But this time, you'd be stuck with him for a long time."

"Don't worry. I have every intention of scoring tonight. That'll make me forget all about the little omega."

Kyungjoon POV

Soohyuk and Yunho's wedding was a farce.

The supposed blushing groom, Soohyuk, leaned away from Yunho and clutched his hands the moment they sat down. He was trying so hard to hide it, but for me, it was plain as day.

Nobody gave a shit, it was pretty clear that he was forced into marriage, so unhappiness was a given.

It was obvious how unhappy he was.

Nobody ever asked what we wanted.

Nobody ever cared.

'Not father… clearly... Not even our mothers.'

I made a personal pledge that I'm determined to keep - I wasn't going to end in a loveless marriage.

Nothing in this godforsaken world could make me marry for anything but love.

Wolfgang kept glancing my way from across the table, that annoying, stupid, cocky smirk ever-present on his stupid face. He'd pretty much ogled me throughout the entire wedding so far.

I had to admit he didn't look too shabby in his black three-piece suit, his tall, muscled frame stood out even more dressed up like that.

'Damn.'

I'd rather have bitten my tongue off before admitting to anyone that I found Wolfgang's looks tolerable, especially when his personality wasn't anywhere close to being sufferable.

'Why did the bastard have to look so good?'

His dark semi-curly long hair that touched the collar of his shirt was intentionally messy and his eyes were dark and piercing that they were almost black.

'Of course, he was perfectly aware of the effect he had on most people and expected me to fawn over him as well. It was impossible not to check him out. Hell would freeze over before that happened.'

Soohyuk clutched my hand under the table tighter because of something Yunho had said to him. He was oblivious to Wolfgang's flirting with me.

'Oblivious to anything but his distress.'

I quickly pushed to my feet, desperate to sneak away toward the bay where I could be alone, but Wolfgang cornered me at the edge of the dance floor, the same cocky smirk on his striking face. He bowed grandly without taking his eyes off me.

"May I have this dance?"

My stomach did a stupid flip at the sight of his smirk. 'What the fuck's wrong with me?'

That 'dear' old man watched me from his spot at the table, fuck you Baekje Ha-kyun. I had no choice but to nod in response to Wolfgang's invitation or risk a huge scene.

'Not that I would have cared but I didn't want to add more stress for Soohyuk. He was already on edge.'

He was easier going than most 'enforcers', I knew that was only a cover-up. Maybe he'd perfected the boy-next-door routine, but beneath that a predator was lying in wait, ready to pounce on his prey.

'I wasn't going to be his prey.'

Wolfgang took my hand and rested his palm on my lower back, the warmth of his big hand seeping through the fabric of my suit. I can feel my face heating, I forced it into a mask of boredom.

'I hated how my body reacted to Wolfgang. If I were allowed to interact with other guys, I'd probably be unimpressed by Wolfgang. Right?'

Wolfgang's body towered over mine, as I looked up at him, I could see that his eyes were dark brown and almost black. He had thick black lashes and the shadow of stubble ghosted his jaw.

His stupid smile widened, 'Ah! He caught me ogling. Shit!,' I turned my head away, everything above my shoulders felt heated.

I focused on the dancing guests around us.

Everyone was mingling, laughing and smiling, enjoying themselves. From the outside, it looked like a marvellous feast.

It was easy to be taken in by the mansion's garden which was decorated to perfection. It was so damn easy to let the breeze drift over us from the ocean carrying away reality. The unique atmosphere only a place in our territory could offer and convince anyone that life here was a dream.

'I knew better,' with the dark thought reaffirmed in my head, I didn't notice I was looking at our clasped hands.

I am not sure if Wolfgang noticed me zeroing in on our hands and I noticed that he pulled me even closer, pressing our bodies together so I could feel every inch of hard muscle as well as the concealed weapons beneath his vest. I squirmed with the sudden realization and a part of me wanted to lean in, get closer… maybe… claim his mouth for a kiss.

'That would have been the scandal of the wedding, no doubt.'

Our father might blow a gasket, that was almost enough to make me want to do it.

'Why should 'we' be forced to wait for their first kiss until they were married? It was ridiculous.'

I pitied Soohyuk for having to experience his first kiss in front of the entire wedding party.

'That wouldn't happen to me. I didn't care whom I had to bribe to kiss me.'

Wolfgang leaned down, a teasing smile curving his mouth, "You look gorgeous, Kyungjoon. The pissed-off look goes well with your dress."

Before I could stop myself, a laugh burst out of me, I tried to cover it up with a sly cough but knowing Wolfgang he didn't buy it. Judging from the look on his face.

'Damn it.'

I narrowed my eyes and decided to ignore Wolfgang for the rest of our dance, hoping that my body would do the same, the bastard started moving his thumb back and forth on my back, and every cell in my body seemed to jerk to life.

I wanted to kiss him for real, not just to spite my obnoxious father and every other male in our world who thought it was okay to keep wives, husbands and even their mistresses and consorts on a leash.

I wanted to kiss him because he smelled delicious, that reason alone is why I needed to get away from him quickly.

'He's dangerous.'

Wolfgang seemed intent on driving me crazy, after our first dance he managed to get two more dances from me, and to my utter annoyance, my body didn't stop reacting to his closeness.

I had a feeling he knew, he kept stroking my back ever so slightly, I couldn't ask him to stop without admitting that it was bothering me and somehow part of me didn't want him to stop.

It was almost midnight when people started to shout for Yunho to bed Soohyuk. He didn't manage to hide his panic. When he stood and took Yunho's offered hand, his eyes met mine, but then Yunho was already leading him away, followed by a crowd of shouting men.

Anger surged through me.

I stood up, determined to follow and help Soohyuk but my Mother grabbed my wrist, jerking me to stop, "This isn't your business, Kyungjoon. Sit." I glowered at her.

'Wasn't our mothers supposed to protect us? Instead, they watched without an ounce of compassion. I wrenched away from her, disgusted by everyone around us.'

Both elder alpha clan leaders and our fathers, Baekje Ha-kyun stood beside Kim-Shin KyungJae who shouted something that sounded like, "We want to see blood on the sheets, Yunho!"

I almost tackled him, 'Bastards! What kind of sick traditions do these disgusting people have?'

I turned around and left Wolfgang on the dance floor, as I tried to approach the newlywed couple I saw my father's warning glare. I glared back and continued to pursue Yunho and Soohyuk.

The couple was almost at the house, I fought my way through the crowd. I wasn't even sure what I was going to do if I reached them. I couldn't pull Soohyuk into our shared suite and lock the door, nor try to escape everyone by running away. That wouldn't stop anyone from finding us, least of all Yunho, he's a beast!

A few of the guests made lewd comments in my direction, I ignored them as my eyes firmly focused on Soohyuk's blond head. I'd almost reached the front of the crowd when Soohyuk disappeared into their master bedroom and Yunho closed the door.

My breath stopped, worry and anger taking centre stage in my head. I was wavering between storming into the bedroom, kicking Yunho's balls and Naruto-run as far away as possible.

I backed away with dread knowing there was nothing I could do for Soohyuk. In the past, Soohyuk had protected me from our father, but now when he needed protection, I was unable to help him.

'I hate this.'

Most of the guests were on their merry drunken way back to resume partying, only Wolfgang, who followed me, was left.

I wasn't in the mood to face my parents again. I'd only gotten into a huge argument and I didn't need that on my plate tonight, so I decided to go to my room instead.

Before I could head down the corridor toward my room, Wolfgang clasped my arm, stopping me. He didn't look as drunk as he'd seemed at the party.

'Maybe it had all been for show.'

A glance around made me realize that we were alone in this part of the house, and from the way, my heartbeat quickened and my stomach fluttered, I knew this wasn't a good idea.

We were both quiet for a minute until Wolfgang spoke, "Your brother will be fine. Yunho isn't that cruel."

"Is that supposed to reassure me?"

Wolfgang shrugged. "I know my brother. Soohyuk won't get hurt."

I searched his face, he seemed serious. I wanted to believe him, but from what I'd witnessed, Yunho was anything but a kind man. He was brutal and cruel and cold.

"I want to fucking kiss you," Wolfgang continued in a rough voice, startling me.

My eyes widened, we weren't engaged, so speaking to me like that was more than inappropriate. My father would have gone nuts if he'd heard.

Wolfgang didn't move, he stood in front of me with his arm propped up against the wall and his eyes boring into mine.

I should have been anxious, embarrassed at the very least, but instead, I found myself wondering how it would be to kiss someone. Everyone in my class had all kissed and done far more, only Soohyuk, me and Dojinnie were sheltered by our bodyguards.

'How would it be to kiss someone forbidden? To make things a bad boy would do?'

"Then why don't you?"

Alarm bells went off in my mind, but I ignored them, Wolfgang moved closer to me. For some reason I backed away until I bumped into the wall, the alpha followed and soon I was trapped between the wall and his body.

"Because there are rules in our world and breaking them has consequences." He whispered into my ears.

'This was my choice. If we weren't who we were, if we hadn't been born into this screwed-up world, if Wolfgang wasn't an 'enforcer' and a killer, maybe then I could have fallen for him. If we'd met as two normal people, then maybe we could have become something.'

"You don't seem like a stickler for rules," I heard myself say.

I wasn't sure why I was encouraging him.

I didn't want his attention.

I wanted out of this fucked up world and its fucked up people.

Getting involved in any way with someone like him would make that impossible.

Wolfgang reached for my face and raked his fingers through my hair. I shivered at the light touch and he smirked, "I'm not."

'I didn't even like Wolfgang, right? He was annoying and arrogant and never knew when to shut up.' But my body wanted more.

I grabbed his vest, my fingers wrinkling the soft material, "Me neither, I don't want my first kiss to happen with my husband."

Wolfgang let out a quiet laugh and he was so close, "This is a bad idea," he murmured, his lips less than an inch from mine, his eyes dark, devoid of their usual playfulness.

I can feel my face flush, my insides seem to burn with need, "I don't care."

As soon as those words left my lips Wolfgang kissed me, lightly at first as if he wasn't sure if I was being serious. I tugged at his vest, asking him to stop thinking, and Wolfgang crushed his body to mine, his tongue slipping between my lips and tangling with mine, giving me no time to wonder what I was doing.

Wolfgang tasted of whiskey and something sweet, but I couldn't put my finger on it, his hand cupped the back of my neck as his mouth set my body alight with need.

His body radiated heat and strength.

'Fuck! No wonder our 'dear' old man didn't want us to be around people. Now that I felt how good kissing is, I never wanted to stop doing it.'

There was a gasp, and Wolfgang and I pulled apart. I'm still dazed when my eyes settled on my brother Dojinnie who stood frozen in the hallway, probably on his way to his room.

His eyes were wide. "Sorry!" he blurted, then took a few hesitant steps in our direction. "Does this mean you're going to marry?"

I snorted. "No, it doesn't. I won't marry him. This means nothing."

Wolfgang shot me a look, I almost felt bad, but it was the truth.

'I had no intention of marrying an 'enforcer', no matter how good he could kiss, or how much he could make me laugh.'

The people in our world were killers and torturers, they weren't good men, they weren't even decent. They were bad, rotten to the core, nothing could change that. Maybe they occasionally managed to imitate normal guys, especially Wolfgang who had that act down to a 'T,' but in the end, it was only a mask, his persona.

Wolfgang turned to Dojinnie. "Don't tell anyone what you saw."

I slipped away from him, needing to bring some distance between us.

'How could I have let him kiss me? Maybe I was lucky? Or he was more intoxicated than he let on. Maybe he won't remember a thing tomorrow morning.'

"Okay," Dojinnie said shyly.

Wolfgang gave me a knowing look before he walked past and turned the corner. The moment he was gone, Dojinnie squeaked, "You kissed him!"

"Shhh! The walls have ears."

"How was it?" he asked in a whisper, "The kiss I mean."

At first, I wanted to lie but then I opted for the truth, "Amazing."

Dojinnie giggled and followed me into my room, "I told Mother I'll sleep in your room tonight."

"Yeah, sure."

"So are you going to kiss him again?"

I knew it would be a bad idea, "No. I won't ever kiss Wolfgang again."

I should have known that it wouldn't end that easily.

The next day, a couple of hours before my family had to leave, Wolfgang caught me alone in front of my bedroom.

"What do you want?"

Wolfgang clucked his tongue. "Last night when we were alone, you didn't give me the cold shoulder."

He didn't try to kiss me, but he stood very close. It would have been easy to bridge the distance between us, to grab his shirt and pull him against me. Instead, I put my guards in place and glared.

"I'd hoped you weren't too drunk to remember."
