Chapter 200: [Deep Red III]

Both of them were quick on their feet and at the same time quick on making decision. That was apparent that both of them were able to injure one another in that short interval of time. However there is a lying difference of how fatal the wound they had left on each other. One  came out with a simple bruise and broken bones, while the other got literally stabbed on its sides. One can even guess which side received a more fatal wound than the other.

As August was recovering from his injury by circulating his chaos ability on his wounded side in order to fix his bones in place, Jinwoo on the other hand snapped the protruding spike from the ground as he pulled it out and tried to stop the bleeding by using his hands. However no matter what he do, the excessive bleeding just wont stop.

There is a reason why he pulled out the spike from his wound which caused him to bleed even more. The reason for it is because the spike itself made out from natural material on the road but rather a blood that hardens from further exposure to oxygen. Since it is made out of blood and August has the chaos ability to control blood, then the latter could simply swish it away into nothingness if he so like to in the middle of their fight. Having the spike stay on his wound to prevent excessive bleeding is much more detriment rather than helpful if the enemy itself can control blood.

But before Jinwoo could even think of a way to stop his bleeding, August had quickly taken in the opportunity from the blood spilled near the former, as he controlled the spilled blood with his chaos ability and made it attack Jinwoo with protruding spike from the ground. Luckily for Jinwoo he quickly caught up to the sneaky scheme that August was doing, as he quickly jumped away to the side to avoid getting hit  from the blood spike, before entering a bursting launch towards his target enemy upon landing unto the ground.

Of course August just wouldn't take that lying down , the moment Jinwoo took the charge, he quickly switched up his attacks as he produces blood bullets from the blood on the ground and begun launching all of them towards Jinwoo in Mach speed.

Because of that Jinwoo quickly took out his rod and begun blocking the attacks by swinging his rod into a fan while also moving forward in a quick pace. But the moment Jinwoo did such a thing, August quickly changed the way he attacks, and begun manipulating the the blood that got blocked all over the air, as he turned it into a sharp needle and begun to rain down towards Jinwoo in all direction.

With such kind of attack, Jinwoo then abruptly stopped on his tracks, as h inserted strength unto his hand grabbing the rod, as he slammed it to the ground, to produce shockwaves which blew away the sharp needles heading his direction. Alongside it, the shockwave also produced smoke to rose from the ground and cover the whole street which provide a cover for him to get closer to his target enemy.

The moment the smoke from the shockwave rose up and covered the street, August knew  that something wasn't right, as he quickly encased Claire into a crystallized blood prison which would even make it hard for anyone to break it by force, of course the people who have strength enhancement are included in the list of people who would have a hard time breaking such cage.

Just as August finished  making such prison, the tip of the rod then came out from the clearing as it smacked August on his arms and blew him away with great force towards the other establishments in the area.

As Jinwoo successfully blew August away, he then saw Claire trapped inside a blood prison, as he tried to get close and destroy the prison with brute strength. Of course Claire was both overjoyed from seeing a familiar face coming to save her and was worried about the fact that August was still around. She even called out for his name multiple times as she tried to reach out her tiny hand towards her while crying. But before Jinwoo could  even touch the crystallized blood prison or even reach Claire's hand, a whip made out of blood then wrapped itself around his neck which choked him, as he got yanked away with great force and got thrown in towards a wall on the opposite side of the street.

Naturally the one who did such a thing was August. Claire held a huge importance for the future of his plans against the organization. So if he wanted to continue on with his vengeance, he would need Claire's ability to go even forward and achieve his goal. So no matter what, he would not let anyone retrieve the child while he was still around.

Immediately creating huge spikes in a size similar to car in the air, August then threw the spikes towards Jinwoo, which forced the latter to quickly get up from the wreckage he had crashed and blocked the attacks with pure strength. But just as he succeeded in blocking the first spike, he was then surged by about three more which buried him into the pile, as it drilled him close to the ground itself.

Despite that, August knew that the fight wasn't over just yet, as he sent out a wave slash made out of blood towards the clogged spike area and decimated the whole ground area in just one attack, which then lead to the whole establishment to crumbled from above and on top of the wreckage

Just as he was done with this, August then clasped his hand together as he then begun gathering energy and blood at the top for his forefinger as he plan to release a beam  powerful enough to destroy everything in its path in just a single strike.

But as he was gathering power and energy for this one attack, a huge boulder then came flying towards him, which forced August to cancel his attack and dodge to the side. But just as he dodged the first boulder, about ten more came his way, which caused August to create a sword made out of blood and enact a sword wave of blood to crush the sword apart in just a single swing each.

Just as he crushed all the incoming boulders, the rod which was at the size of a train then came smashing him straight at the front as it, slammed him at the wall behind the building and continues on to crash through multiple establishments in the area. After crashing for what seems like the fifth establishment's walls, Jinwoo then retracted his rod back to its original size as it remotely landed on his grip, before using it as his support to stand up.

Because the building came crashing down on top of him, Jinwoo was badly injured all over his body, as his head begun to bleed and covered half his sight with blood. Upon seeing his condition, Claire wanted no more but to reach out to him and use her ability to heal the wound on his body. She had already seen Ryuuji's near dead state before because of the injury he had received in battle, she had already seen people who were close to her getting badly injured just because they stayed beside her. Now that she saw Jinwoo gravely injured state before her eyes, she couldn't help but remember those awful memories which caused her to beg the prison to open and let her heal him.

She thought her powers were omnipotent, she thought her ability's were godly, after all that was what the scientist she had met had said to her after doing multiple experiments on her body. Because of that she was confused, surprised, and shocked to see that not even her ability could help break the prison apart, for some reason her death touch was ineffective against the blood prison created by the opposing enemy.

With that Claire calls out towards Jinwoo in crying voice as she tried to reach out her hand in order to heal his injuries. But in that moment something ominous was sensed at the direction in which August had crashed which caused Claire to surprisingly feel fear all over her body. Just by sensing that ominous aura, she knew that something bad was about to happen in this very area which could lead to multiple death happening in this city.
