This Is Wrong

I took her to my house. When I got there I explained to my mom everything. She ended up giving Jess a bath seeing the bruises and scars for herself. When she got out she got freshened up with my pajamas.

"Okay sweetie, if you need anything let me know." My mom said. 

Jess nodded in response.

"For now you can sleep in Craig's room."

She looked at me with sad eyes.

"I can sleep on the couch, it's okay." 

She still looked upset but didn't oppose.

I was laying on the couch unable to sleep when I hear something on the stairs.

I look up and see her with a blanket covering herself.

"Hey, you okay?" 

"I can't sleep." she said softly.  

I slowly get up and walk up the stairs with her following behind me.

"What do you need me to do for you Jess?" 

"C-can you please uhh sleep next to me... I don't know why but... I just.... Feel scared to close my eyes and try sleeping...." 

"Yeah. I don't mind." 

I put my arm around her walking her to my room to comfort her.

We were laying in bed.

I was so flustered....laying on my back thinking in deep thought.

'Why am I so nervous. I don't like her.... Do I?'

"Craig?" 

I look over seeing her back turned away from me.  

"If I died..... What would you do?" 

I tensed due to her question.

"Why do you ask..." 

"I just... Have a bad feeling.... You know...?" 

I face toward her grabbing her arm pulling her to face me. 

She looked back at me with tears in her eyes. 

"Can you turn around for me?" I asked softly.

She rolled facing me looking up in my eyes. I held both her hands feeling her shaking badly. 

"I will protect you. I know your in danger but I'll make sure you are, okay?"

"You promise?" 

"Yes, I promise." 

I see her gap her lips so sudden. I felt my stomach butterfly and face heated up badly. Before I knew it... I felt her lips on mine. My eyes widen before I knew it I melted in the kiss closing my eyes.  

'Wait.... I.... Actually like this? Am I not gay?'

I felt her hands on my face deepening the kiss.

I pulled away feeling her tongue touch my lip.

She looked at me embarrassed.

"I'm sorry Craig.... I..... I thought since we were dating I..... You know what... Nevermind I'm sorry." She said turning around facing away from me. 

'Shit.... Now I feel bad.'
