She Will Hurt You Too

Jess's POV

My face was still super hot from Kyle standing up for me.

'I can't believe he actually did that for me.'

After the kids left the room I looked up and see Mr. Garrison. He was looking at me tapping his finger on his desk. I felt my skin crawl seeing the way he was looking at me.

'There it is again.... He's looking at me so intensely.'

"Kyle, you coming?" I hear.

"I need a break away from him..."

"Oh okay.... Just.... Calm down."

It was quiet for a second.

All I could hear was the teachers tapping on his table as he was still looking at me. I felt my body trembling feeling so uneasy with his staring.

"Hey uhh Jess can I speak with you for a second?" I hear behind me.

I look over seeing Kyle seeming really embarassed.

"I'll leave you two alone..." I hear Mr. Garrison say.

I tensed when I hear his tone was really sturn.

'He seems so angry.. Should I be scared?'

I felt my body begin to shake

'Something about him gives me the creeps.'

"Are you okay?"

I tensed while going back to reality. I looked up at Kyle.

"Y-yeah, thanks for sticking up for me..." I murmured feeling really akward and shy.

"Oh it's no problem, really..."

"Says you.... No one ever stood up for me before..." I said looking back at my hands on my desk thinking about coming back home to my mom.

"I uhh I'm sorry, he's an ass to everyone."

"I'm used to it...  But I'm not used to someone sticking up to me...Why did you?"

"Honestly it's not right for someone to get treated that way..... You shouldn't be alone... You should have someone with you and supporting you or you'd be driven nuts.. Before he spoke up I was actually wanting to talk to you. Possibly get to know you and maybe we could.... Be friends?"

I tensed up feeling my face burning so badly.

'There is it again... Someone who wants to be my friend?'

I see him give a little smile at me causing my heart to flutter slightly.

"W-Why?"

"I always see you alone... I've been wanting to talk to you for awhile but... FATASS would stop me..." 

"Oh...." I said holding my hands together. 

I hear his chair scooting followed by footsteps next to me. I look up seeing him sitting next to me.

"So, do you wanna go outside?" He asked.

I look away nervously.

"I.... Don't really wanna be around him..."

"Oh well uhh do you wanna at least go somewhere else besides staying in the classroom?"

I look up at him.

"Where would we go?"

He smiled so sweetly at me.

"I have an idea.."

He held his hand out toward me.

"Do you trust me?"

I blushed with my mouth gapped open. I felt sparks flying looking up at his kind smile. I lifted my hand softly placing it on his. He squeezed my hand as he walked me out of the school.

"Where are we going?" I asked looking around as we had been walking for awhile now. 

"You'll see..."

A few minutes went by then we came to a stop.

"It's a nicer view at sunset. But this is my favorite place to be when I'm having a bad day and wanna be left alone."

I look around seeing a really cute pond. I felt him walk forward guiding me to follow.

"Come on, there's a bench right here..."

He lead me to a bench as we both sat down. I noticed he was still holding my hand.

"K-Kyle?"

"Hmm?" He looked over.

I look at the ground feeling shy again. 

"Thank you for taking me out here.... It's really nice."

"It's no problem.. Hey uhh can I ask you something?"

"Mmhmm."

"Do you uhh, feel safe at home."

I tensed up feeling near tears come.

"W-what do you mean?"

"I uhh saw the bruise on your leg a long time ago.."

The tears started falling as I grabbed my scarf hiding myself looking away.

"I don't want to talk about it." I chocked up.

"Please.. Tell me, did someone do that to you? You can trust me. I won't tell a soul."

I lost control of my emotions. I cried in my hands.

"I.... I'm sorry Jess I...."

He stopped himself from finishing his words.

"I'm just.... Worried.... Please.... Let me help..."

"You can't, she will hurt you too!!" I yelling out through my heavy tears.
