Safe In Your Arms

"So what did your mom say about me?" 

"Oh uhh she said as long as your safe it's okay. She also said she will look into getting child services involved herself." 

"Kyle... I will be taken away..." 

I look over at her seeing tears in her eyes. 

"I just made friends and now... I'm going to lose them...." 

She looked up at me. 

"I really like this feeling I have with you Kyle.... I.... don't want it to go away." 

I felt tears building up but falling off my eyes. 

"Jess.... I'm sorry I.... I can ask my mom if there is anything we can do... Do you have any grandparents?" 

She shook her head.

"No I don't....Kyle, I don't want to go to foster home.." She choked up crying in her hands. 

"Hey, hey, I'll talk to my mom. She will come up with something okay? But... Let's just get some sleep." I said getting a blanket from the corner. 

When I walked back I see her looking at me blushing badly.

"Are you okay?" 

"Uhh y-yeah... Are we sleeping together?" 

I felt my face heat up realizing what was about to happen.

*cough* "uhh I mean... I can lay on the floor." 

"No, no... I just... Was wondering if you were okay with it." 

"Oh uhh I mean..." 

I rubbed the back of my head.

"I don't mind..." I added looking away feeling my face about to explode with heat.  

"I don't mind either."

My eyes widen looking over seeing her giving a small smile. I couldn't help but smile myself. 

I pulled the curtain closed sitting next to her. I laid back on the back seat. She sat next to me laying back also. 

I covered us both up with the blanket feeling the warmth building up. I could feel her body heat against me. I looked down feeling my breath hitch seeing her place her hand and head on my chest. 

"You okay with this?"

"Mhmm it's nice... Being close to someone..." she said so softly. 

I smiled feeling my face burning in heat. 

'She's so cute.' 

I raised my hand softly placing it on her hand on my chest. 

She looked at our hands as I intertwined my fingers in hers. She looked up at my eyes with her mouth gaps slightly. 

"Kyle, is it weird that this is the safest I have ever felt?" 

"No it's not weird. You should feel safe considering I'll protect you from anyone who is a threat. 

She smiled big causing my heart to flutter. 

"Thank you so much Kyle..."

She nearly killed me with the tightest hug nearly crushing the life out of me. But I didn't care. 

I didn't catch me off guard my eyes widened feeling my heart beating fast.

I breathed out hard holding her right in my arms closing my eyes not wanting to let go.

The was the quickest I had ever fallen asleep. I was so relaxed with her in my arms.
