Visage

I was in a field of grass, the sun was setting in the distance, it appeared that I was somewhere far, near the country side perhaps. It was calm, open fields as far as the eye could see, I turned around and saw a shadowy figure, something resembling a girl.

I squinted my eyes and asked the shadow figure "Who are you?", the figure began to distort as it replied "Oh dearest Death, I am the visage of your very soul, I am your darling in the shadows, be with me once more...".

I was confused, "What do you mean 'darling in the shadows'? Who exactly am I talking to right now? This is a dream right?" the shadow shifted again "Oh my love, do you not understand what I am saying, this is not a dream but a spiritual connection, I am here to tell you to return to me, be with me once more, so we can bring ë̸̢̪s̷͔̪͛̒p̸̖̉̃i̶͔̓à̵̫̜r̵̹̍d̷̨͙̃ to this world once more.".

I could not understand the word that she had said, it almost sounded ancient, was she a Celestial? Before I got the chance to ask, shadows began to whirl around me, the peaceful fields of grass turning into darkness flooding around me. "Looks like our time is up for now my love, I will be waiting for you, in the darkness...".

I was woken up my Abbie shaking my arm, "You okay there? You looked like you where drowning or something... I was sweating, my entire body felt oddly stronger than usual, almost as if an old power had just been awoken inside me. "I don't know... I just had the weirdest dream-", "Well can the explanation wait? We gotta go." Abbie whispered to me almost aggressively. "Yeah, I guess so, lets go. Do you have everything?".

"Yeah, got my bag, I packed some food and clothes and a couple bottles of water for us too, the note for my mom is on her bedside table so we're all set.", and so me and Abbie left the house, on the search for Ben and Despair, if she even is awoken yet...
