Leaving home to something new

Max: a fit but not too muscular 5'9 tan man,dark brown hair, blue eyes, makes friends easily despite being a introvert, nervous, helpful, sarcastic, and quite smart,mostly likes being outside by himself, and loves Computer science and Bio life or anything that has to do with science. And A freshman in college. Friends with CC.
CC: a Maine coon cat with brown, gray, black fur, has been given the the name well know around town cool cat or CC for short. No one knows his real name but CC. CC is clam, makes friends easily, smart, helpful,kind, funny, also likes being outside, and studies and everything and no one knows why, I guess he cool that way. Has secrets that no one knows, where's sunglasses and chains around his neck almost like a gangster but not,and helps people with there homework,Comes up to max's hip when standing on his hind legs, he's pretty big.
Now on to the story!!!!
"Hey! Are you done packing yet?"
"Yes mom, I'm almost done take a chill pill." Max said back.
"Good I want you out of here, ASP." Max mom said in a joking tone.
Max mom comes up the stairs into max's room.
"I can't believe you in college already, and leaving me here all by myself." Mom said fake crying.
" mom you have two kids still in school and klo will have a room to herself." Max said happily.
" yea I know I know, but you never told me who your roommate is?" Mom said curious.
" idk, his name is cc, I'm guessing that his nickname." Max said while packing his last box.
" wow some much information." Mom said.
" you gonna help me put these boxes in the tuck or not." Max said back to his mom sarcasm.
"Yes I will, let's go before it gets late." Mom said to max.
Mom and max get all the box's in the truck and head out to maxs college, after an hour dive on the road they arrived to the small town and to the college dorms. Max gets out the tuck and put all the box in the dorm.
" bye mom, I'll try to come to you and klo." Max said after hugging mom.
" you better, we'll I have to get home now, you know klo is not a good car rider." Mom said in
annoyance.
" yea I know, just be careful on your way back home, okay." Max said hugging mom one last time.
Mom gets back in the tuck and waved to max as she left. Max made his way back to his dorm, he opened the dorm room door and see a cat sitting on the bed.
"Wow that is a big cat, must be a maine coon or a bob cat." Max said aloud to himself
" yep I'm a maine coon alright but not even close to a bob cat, lol." A mysterious voice said.
Max slowly turns back to the cat as the cat puts on rounded sunglasses and jumps down from the bed to approach Max.
" sup, my name's cc and I'm your roommate." CC said holding up a peace sign.
" WTF?! You can talk!" Max said
" I sure can, everyone here in this small town knows I can talk." CC answered back.
" and why is your name CC?" Max asked
" stands for cool cat, because I'm the cool cat in town." CC responded smirking.
Max stood there in shock, not knowing if was all a dream or reality, but sure enough this was all real. Not knowing to what's to come to his college life. After all he with the cool cat of town.
