Today I was invited out by Ayame-chan to a city in another world. She's been talking about it for days now and how she managed to get Kyrell to chaperone her, but just this morning, when she found me just on my phone in the living room Ayame-chan wasted no time to invite me to go with her.
I would've refused if this was anyone else, but considering it was her I just couldn't and reflexively said yes.
So I ended up walking side by side with Kyrell while Ayame looked at the various stalls all lined up along a street.
According to Kyrell, Ayame found out that this city we visited, Crysta I think it was called, was having a festival and she wanted to go. She somehow managed to convince Kyrell to bring her there. Didn't know he was actually a soft person.
Truth be told, when we first came to the inn Kyrell felt like he was much more serious, just from the time he introduced himself to us to how he conducted his work with Aloe-chan and Coco-chan, he seemed strict, like those businessmen who work at the top of the company giving orders like an army commander.
But after Fubuki told me he was a lot more fun to be around, I was slightly surprised. I talked with him here and there, but barely anything to actually get a good grasp on his personality.
That was until today.
I don't know what I was looking at, but during the entire trip Kyrell kept buying little snacks for her and directing her to places she would enjoy the most. It was like looking at a father and daughter actually.
But Ayame-chan wasn't the only one who got spoiled today, I did as well.
I didn't want to be but Kyrell kept on giving me things as well. But in comparison to Ayame, it was mostly just subtle things. For example, he picked up on the fact I was craving some tea and so took us to a tea house for a break. Then when he noticed I was also interested in a pastry, he bought some for everyone and whispered to me that I should've just asked.
It was only today I started to understand what Fubuki meant. Kyrell, despite how he usually is in the workplace, is quite a gentle person.
Or at least with us he is.
Since the moment Kyrell finds someone that crosses him, the atmosphere around him turns scary. Really scary.
I got to see that first hand when Ayame-chan and I got surrounded by some goons when Kyrell went to the toilet.
We could've handled it all on our own, but Kyrell returned before one of us lost our cool and proceeded to try and get the men to leave us alone. But when they didn't listen, Kyrell sent them a rather burning glare that sent the hairs on my body jumping straight up.
After seeing that, the group left us alone. Though they did try and make an excuse in that we just weren't worth it, but I could see them sweating profusely as they left.
Once that was dealt with Kyrell took us around one last time and we all participated in some of the games being held. There Kyrell managed to win Ayame-chan a teddy bear, which she seemed to really like judging from how tightly she clutched it, and for me, he got a pair of earrings.
I told him he really didn't need to get me something but he insisted I take it since he already won it.
Now obviously we needed to return the favour, so Ayame-chan and I went off on our own for a bit so we could go and find a present for him. We searched everywhere for a nice gift, but a lot of the items being sold were just for the festival, which made sense but he managed to get us nice things, so we needed to at least try and get something similar.
It took some time but we eventually found a bracelet made of rope that we thought would look nice on Kyrell. It was just a small black bracelet that can be worn on anything and doesn't look gaudy, which was perfect since Kyrell seems to be the type of guy who likes to dress minimally and I was right on the money since the moment we presented it to him he seemed to really like it.
We then went home after this, just in time for dinner. During which Fubuki asked me a lot of questions and everyone kept teasing me that when we got home we looked like a family. I feel as though that's going to stick for a while.
But overall, this day has been fun, I wouldn't mind going on another outing like this.
Before anyone asks, Mio did not fall in love with Kyrell, his relationships are all varied with some being more intimate than others. But whether he will actually end up with someone is up in the air, so at the moment it'll all be pretty one-sided. It'll be hilarious!
But anywho, yeah romance isn't what I'm gonna be focusing on for this story, but it's a nice side dish for the randomness that is Caretaker of Hololive.
Now then, that's all I have to say so I hope you all enjoyed this chapter and I'll see you all next week.
