"Okie dokie! I promise I'll never let anyone bully you again!" the ghost girl shouted in joy. "Big talk for a useless spirit."

I walked home thinking about how my life would be if I were different. 'These stupid ghosts don't do anything, I wish I had some type of power you would see in a novel where I could summon some badass dragon.' After a while I let it go it never helps to think about the impossible.

"Meow!" …. Now I have cats following me. I turned around and saw a cute little kitten, but it wasn't transparent. "Awww, I'm going to take you home little cutie~ wait, what is that?" I noticed a small flame hidden under her chest... DO I FINALLY HAVE MY EPIC MAGICAL PET!! "How do I tame you?" I touch the flame on her chest it wasn't hot but rather soothing as I absorbed it. "I love yoouuuu!" was.. was that the cat?

"I love you too." I tried my best not to act surprised. "Do you have a name little kitty?" "Meow~ not yet!" Hmm so I need to name it. "How about rover?" "That a dogs name! Meow~" "Okay.. what about croissant? You look like one." The kitten started to purr and lick my face. "Eww okay your name is croissant."

"No fair you didn't form a pact with me!" The ghost girl was angry but she just looked like a little girl throwing a fit. "Do you have fire on your chest?" I Teased. "That's not how humans form pacts, we have to do it properly we are not animals." "Okay enlighten me, how do I form a pact with you?" I was curious, after all I might get some OP magic stuff from this. "Feed me your blood and say a ritual." … Okay that is not what I expected but I guess it can't be helped, so we did it.

"Look I'm no longer transparent and you can use me to your liking, I can even turn visible to others now!" "Cool, but do you have any really uses?" "Umm, no but I'm a highly trained martial artist." That's cool but I don't need a bodyguard or anything, I wonder if this kitten is of any use. "Of course I am! Meow~" "Can you read my mind? Can you read other mind!?" "Meow~ only yours but I have the ability to learn fire magic, all I know how to do now is make a very small flame. Meow~" ooh something useful for once where were you all my life.

"Show me!" I ordered the kitten, she leap out my hand back to the ground and sparked a very small flame. I looked like it would be big enough to start a fire if I'm stranded or something but on its own it wouldn't be enough to even cause a waft of heat. "Nice might be useful but it isn't big enough, you're going to have to practice on the stove or something, ghost girl show me some moves." "My name is Claire Everwood" she said as she got into position and proceeded to do a few complex moves and run up a wall to the top of a building. "Show off! Meow~" The kitten got jealous since she seemed more useful and experienced. "Don't worry baby, I would choose you over her any day." That calmed the kitten down and fired Claire up, she did a backflip off the front of the building and punched a dent in a metal fence.

"Both of you are commendable but please bend that fence back into place, I don't want to get in trouble." "humph" The ghost girl pouted as she follow my orders. I was standing here for too long, I'm pretty sure some student had saw me talking to a kitten or just myself as usual. I stopped by the store and brought about 20 cans of wet food and a meal for Claire since my parents would have suspicions if I snuck an extra serving of dinner to my room. I didn't want to be outside anymore anyway so I rushed home and hid the kitten in my room.
