He leaves without paying any more attention to my presence, while I understand that all those who evolve around me have nothing human. I feel in their eyes how much I make them want to vomit from the top of my humanity. Embarrassed, Chris pats me on the shoulder with a contrite smile, pulling my cap over my head, before pointing out the street I'm from to remind me to leave.
He then leaves me standing, alone in the middle of the sidewalk, quickly joining Loyd inside the building. The place is now completely deserted, one could almost believe that nothing happened.
