Even though a week had passed, Amelia was still working. It was a hospital policy that doctors were required to treat all of their previous patients before taking maternity leave.

"I am almost done with all of my patients, so I will be going to apply for leave today," Amelia informed Dylan at the breakfast table.

"Okay, sweetheart. Do not worry, and everything will turn out good," Dylan gave her reassurance.

Amelia offered him a slight smile and nodded.
