Marley swallowed thickly. "Before camp, she was all I had and vice versa. Gabby offered her home when things were bad with my father. She was a shoulder when I needed one, and I did the same for her. But things are different now. We're not everything for the other person anymore and we have things outside each other. I've always feared that Gabby resented me when I-" when I became friends with you. Marley looked away from him. "When I popped our little bubble."
"And when you let me in," Aiden said quietly. "It's not your fault." She shook her head. "It's just an adjustment for the both of us. Gabby confided in Leo and they were alone, and they have this friendship that I've never been apart of, either. I feel strange about it, too. But she's done so much for me, Aiden, and I will never give up on her no matter what. We've gone through our own growing pains. This is just a phase and people change and Gabby and I will be okay."
