Chapter 24: Baby...

Tyra was shocked at the sight before her. She couldn't react for a while and when she did, she screamed and ran out. She closed the door with a slam and stood at the lobby.

Ariel's under a man? And they're kissing? After she'd processed it, she broke into a happy smile and said in a loud voice, "Sorry for disturbing you guys. Ariel baby, I'll make breakfast". After she'd said that, she ran off to the kitchen. She was so happy.

Ariel cursed Tyra in her head. What's that happiness in her voice? Why's she happy? A chuckle came above her head. She looked up and her nose brushed against his. Her heart palpitated again. She cursed the devil that planned all this, this morning.

She frowned hard and pushed him off her. She stood quickly and straightened her clothes.

"Get out. Now".

Rex chuckled and looked at her through his bangs. "So interesting. I was right to have found you". He stood and sauntered to her side. Ariel stepped back. Rex leaned forward and looked her in her eyes.

"Do take care of yourself baby". He placed a kiss on her forehead before he left. Ariel stood there and watched him leave. Baby? Like seriously? How dare he?!

Tyra ran out of the kitchen and met Rex at the living room. He was walking towards the door. "Uh, Mr. Forbes, aren't you staying for breakfast?"

" Ahh, baby doesn't want me to stay. She's being uncomfortable ".

" Huh? Is that so? "

Rex looked at Tyra and arched a brow as if he had remembered something." Don't call her baby next time, got it? "

Tyra furrowed her brows and nodded. She couldn't even retort. This man was just too overbearing. Rex walked out of the house and it returned to it's silence.

Ariel came to the dining some minutes later after she had washed her face. She looked at Tyra who was working on her laptop.

"Any leads?"

"No. Kiera's going to send you a message soon".

Ariel sipped her tea." That's more like it ".

"But, what's happening Ariel? You and Mr. Forbes?"

Ariel sighed." Tyra, I don't know ".

Tyra nodded playfully and smiled." Don't worry. I've got your back on this".

" On what Tyra? We're not together".

" After what I saw this morning, I can't believe you anymore. I believe Mr. Forbes ".

Ariel couldn't believe her ears. She was surprised." Why him? I'm your bestie! "

Tyra smiled. "Of course you are. But now, I'm on Mr. Forbes side".
